Chili was over salted, but otherwise, pretty good. Will be coming back.

Very good! Hipster vibes, but in a good way. Nice view of the river

I'm not kidding when I say I've eaten here at least once a week for years. Pingala is SUCH a godsend if you're the only vegan in the family and are looking for a good place to eat that everyone will enjoy. I'm vegan but my fiancé is not, yet we both love Pingala so much that we have a rule--if we're out running errands, we're getting Pingala. He even gets the same thing every time (Rooster wrap and dumplings) and still never gets tired of it. I've successfully taken several omnivore and vegetarian friends and family members here and it's always been a hit. I've even gotten a few cakes and they're absolutely delicious! They've kept a steady menu post-COVID (shame, I miss the cheese steak specials) and I do miss the hot dogs since the recent menu revamp, but what they have left is still solid stuff. Also love their baked goods! It's so hard to find good baked goods as a vegan and it's so great to be able to walk in and not have to worry about "can I eat this?"
Want to give a shout out to the staff as well--the owner is such a great guy and during COVID he personally delivered a meal to my apartment which I can't even begin to describe was so above and beyond anything I expected. There was also a time where they were crazy busy and it took an hour for my order to be ready--when I came to pick it up, they were super apologetic, kept me updated, and offered some extra food on the house. Unfortunately we moved out of Burlington recently so we probably won't be going as often as we used to, but we still make the effort when we're in town and I can certainly promise you the trip is still 1,000% worth it. If you're vegan, or even if you're not, you NEED to check out Pingala!
