Go now. Ended up here by accident. I was driving up the 101 and my wife searched to find breakfast as we approached Ventura. Reviews were good, so we tried it. Looks average from the outside, but it's definitely among the top ten diner style breakfast places I've ever visited (I've visited thousands because I used to be chef/owner at a popular Philadelphia diner). Could not have been happier. I rarely visit Ventura, but any time I'm nearby, I'll try to have breakfast here. Go now. Seriously, stop reading this and go.

This place is awesome! Always love coming here. Corn beef hash was exceptional. Other in our group loved their pancake roll. Service is pretty friendly and on time. We didn't wait long for anything. Their was a wait time for a party of four but it wasn't that long of a wait, totally worth it. We sat on the patio which was comfortable, if you get cold easily may have a light jacket. We all enjoyed the food and service, highly recommended.

Ah, Pete's Breakfast House in Ventura—the epitome of morning indulgence and the guardian of breakfast bliss! In a world where the phrase "most important meal of the day" is thrown around too casually, Pete's restores honor to this age-old adage.
As you step in, the atmosphere greets you like the first rays of sunshine after a long night—warm, bright, and invigorating. The retro diner vibe pays homage to simpler times, enveloping you in a comforting sense of nostalgia that pairs perfectly with the menu.
And speaking of the menu, let's get to the culinary stars of my visit: scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, and crispy bacon. My friends, these scrambled eggs were not mere sustenance; they were the very essence of fluffiness and flavor—crafted with a finesse that whispers rather than shouts, allowing their simplicity to shine through.
The biscuits and gravy? Oh, what a comfort-laden marvel they were! The biscuits were as fluffy as a cloud, providing the perfect landing pad for the robust, creamy gravy that cloaked them. Each bite was a comforting embrace, a soulful "good morning" that reverberated through my entire being.
As for the bacon, let's just say it was the epitome of porcine perfection. Crispy yet tender, each strip was a tightrope walk of textures and flavors, offering that irresistible crunch without veering into the overcooked territory.
What brings this gastronomic symphony together is, of course, the service. Exceptional is an understatement. At Pete’s, you're not just a customer; you're a cherished guest in a home that takes immense pride in its breakfast craft.
In summary, Pete's Breakfast House is not just a place to eat; it's a rite of passage for anyone who claims to love breakfast. Forget the generic morning pit stops you're accustomed to. Make your way to this Ventura treasure, and experience a breakfast that will not only fill your stomach but also enrich your soul. Trust me, Pete's is not just a meal; it's an ode to the joy of starting your day right.

I’ve been going every since they opened and I hope we always have Pete’s with the same vibe. I love the staff and while we always enjoy service from the core longtime staff and owners. The new staff are awesome too it’s fun to see newer people on the Pete’s team blend in with the energy. Thank you so much for the efforts in your team selection and training. Your efforts are appreciated.
The food is on point, so many choices and all delicious. The potatoes 🥔 are my fave and they’re cooked, so many breakfast places serve pale greasy taters, not here. Fruit is fresh. It looks like there’s a line but with the outdoor seating it’s usually just enough time to say hello to a local and think about your options for lunch or breakfast.
