Romantic, gorgeous view and hands down the BEST CRAB SOUP I've ever had in my life!! They should bag that up and ship it out!! Please! Salmon was cooked perfectly, and salmon cakes were a bit salty but a very good recipe. They were out of the grouper mister wanted so the owner came to warn us (yucky explanation, he should have just said sold out) so we could order any different item without the thought of what's not well in the kitchen. Oysters rockerfeller, I'm not a fan! First time came with bacon and looked amazing but we don't eat pork. So, The second version was just oyster with bland white cheese and when I asked the young lady about my fave missing buttery goodness she said the dish didn't have breadcrumbs...so it was tasteless and very dissapointing (read the menu, breadcrumbs were def missed off) Still, she was a nice server so I didn't really want to ding them so low on service but a worker friend brought a dog in and I didn't see the staff wash hands after loving on the pup. I can't say they didn't wash, I heard no water and so it was a major turnoff on a rainy eve when you could smell the dog in the air. Total bill for 2 people, with cocktails, appetizers and entrees was about $138 plus tip. I LOVE the atmosphere... they're going to be amazing when they correct a few small things

We enjoyed ourselves at Parley’s. The food was good and the service was great. I have only 4 stars because I feel some improvement could be made.
All the food is served on cutting boards which makes me wonder how they are getting cleaned well. If they are running through the industrial dishwasher it is probably destroying them pretty quickly. Seems a bit quirky.
The steam table options do not come with side dishes which seems a bit pricey though me.

Came in this evening around 530ish. It was busy, but no wait for the last table available inside. Once sat, we waited about 10 minutes to be asked for our drink order. The quickest service this evening was receiving 2 kid drinks & a water. We hurried to order our food after already sitting so long and then were told it was about a 30 minute wait for it to come out. It wasn't a huge deal, but once we received our food knowing that took about 45 minutes overall we were unimpressed. Kids slider buns were both burnt, the buttered noodles all clumped together, crab slider had quite a bit of shell & no seasoning, & none of the sliders had any sauce (kids burger, crab & regular burger). Staff wasn't friendly to the point that as we were leaving 2 of the servers walked through us as we were heading to the door and not one "excuse/pardon me". The only saving grace was that the Bloody Mary was pretty good. Other than that, we were hoping for a great experience considering the review rating is 4.5 but this evening was nowhere close to that.
One suggestion - maybe decrease the size of the menu. If the kitchen staff is having trouble keeping up, there might be too many food options. Just a thought...

We enjoyed our last visit at the old location so we decided to check out the new place. Big mistake. The waitress couldn't answer any questions we had about the menu. Literally all the food was cold. I ordered a side salad with my entree and they forgot it, so I had to wait about 10 minutes for it. The drinks were subpar, especially the Mai Tai, which tasted like straight Kraken. I can appreciate a stiff drink but a Mai Tai it was not. My wife's entree was a small piece of fish, a tiny baked potato, and some broccoli. Again, all cold. My fried oysters were cold and dry. Very overpriced. The only good thing I can say is the salad was pretty good. I'd recommend Mulberry House instead.

Went to Parley's a few months ago and ordered some raw oysters. They were delicious and the presentation was nice. The service was very slow even though there were only 3 other tables being served. Our table was against the window which had a great view but there were flies all over the window which was disappointing. There is definitely limited seating, so expect to wait at peak times.

My wife and I went there today and we will not be back. A few notes on our experience:
1. After being seated we ordered water and sweet tea. We were brought water and unsweet tea. Later it was corrected..
2. Placed our order one included a salad. After waiting roughly 30 minutes was told our order did not get put in but was being put in now…was told bill would be reduced by 25% for the inconvenience.
3. Our entrees finally arrived another 20 minutes later with the salad. I was never asked if I wanted it earlier.
4. Food was mediocre.
5. Manager asked tables all around us how was their meal and experience…we were never asked.
6. Bill was only discounted 15% for the 50 minute wait.
Do not recommend.

Y'all!! This place is AMAZING!! We've been to little Washington a ton of times and some how always missed this place. By chance I came across it online and ended up there for dinner with my husband for dinner last night. Small, quaint place with a wonderful atmosphere. Everyone was very kind but Abbie, our server, was extraordinary. While the food took a bit of time, Abby made sure our glasses were never empty and was able to keep conversation light and fun while knowing exactly when to check on us. She is the type of person that is meant to work with the public in whatever capacity she chooses. Though the food took a bit to get to us, it was worth every minute we waited!! We ordered the mini crab cakes to start. Sorry, no pic. We ate one and before we knew it they were just gone. Wonderful flavor and great little remoulade to dip. For dinner I ordered a half order of the shrimp and grits and man!! I should have ordered a full order. Best, most flavorful shrimp and grits I have ever tasted. I also did 1/2 sandwich, the Unbrielievable grilled cheese and 1/2 soup, the crab bisque. All the flavors were amazing together. The bisque was a bit thin BUT the flavor more than made up for it. My husband ordered the gourmet burger sliders and the brussel sprouts. Again, everything had wonderful flavor and portion sizes were perfect. We cannot wait to go back!!

Went with my son for brunch. There was live music, the service was impeccable, my Bloody Mary was perfect, and the food was delicious. Went to a different restaurant first and they weren’t exactly kid friendly as far as menu was concerned so we left. Parle had a kids menu as well as many regular menu items that were suitable for my 10 mo old. We had the mahi taco, the shrimp and grits, and the kids Mac n cheese with broccoli. Everyone was so friendly. I’m so glad we went. We will definitely be back for some oysters. Thank y’all!

It's a small restaurant and will be busy. Get reservations. Very good food and drinks. Happy, responsive, caring staff. I'll be back for sure.
I returned and got the oyster Rockefeller. Really nice. The platter with ahi tuna and scallops made me dance around in my seat, it was so good! I'll be back again, and again.

Long review alert! But this place is the REAL DEAL! Parley's truly went above and beyond for myself and my family during my sister's wedding weekend in Washington, NC. I cannot recommend Parley's enough for catering, private events, and just an overall personal, intimate experience with a local business. I had been communicating with Parley's for months prior to hosting my sister's bridal luncheon in their space. Boo and Paige created stunning personalized menus, ordered food specifically for us, and even let us take over their dining room for a whole morning on a Friday. They allowed us to come in at 9 am to decorate, and we arrived to a beautiful table already set. I cannot emphasize how wonderful it was to work with this team from start to finish. Two weeks before the wedding, our rehearsal party venue cancelled on us, leaving us in a tight spot to feed and host 140 people last minute. Parley's quickly jumped in and gladly catered the event for us. Boo and Paige came up with special appetizers that accommodated every single person that joined us that night. On top of those 2 events, Parleys even catered our family breakfast the Sunday after the wedding and delivered for us (we were a little tired :) ). All 3 of the catered meals with Parley's had gluten and dairy free options included. With all of that being said- I cannot thank Parley's enough for stepping in and making the wedding weekend personal, intimate, and everything we could have ever hoped for.
