As the person who has done many restaurant reviews, I felt the need to comment on this restaurant/lounge too. First of all, the reception girls are not trained to provide good customer service. Just when I entered the restaurant, one of reception women told me "Excuse me" instead of saying hello or how can I help you. She had an attitude which wasn't polite. Next she proceeded to give a bad table instead of a nice view table. Luckily, the manager was helpful and we found a nice table to sit close to the water. The manager also gave us complimentary drinks, that was very nice of him.
The food was very delicious and tasty. We enjoyed oysters, shrimp, salad, scallops. Everything was good, food and drinks wise.
The view is very beautiful but hard to get a nice table near the sea. They do everything not to let you sit there.

I cannot wait to share my glowing review of this restaurant! The service was exceptional, and the waiter Gokhan was truly outstanding. Their attentiveness and professionalism made my dining experience unforgettable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for top-notch service and a fantastic meal.

1. Do not expect a Michelin Star restaurant kind of service or attention. The vibes here are more of a luxury bar on a rooftop of an expensive hotel: loud music (but cool with a live DJ), waiters in black running around, girls in cocktail dresses making selfies at the Bosphorus. There was a separate sommelier there for drinks. It’s not a family place or a quite high-end restaurant. As for service in general: most of the time waiters in Turkiye do not rush to you, it’s normal to attract attention. And fine dining is also not a thing in Istanbul, so one should lower expectations a bit. But here waiters came always at the right time (Gökhan was our waiter, asked to mention him).
2. Prices are really high. Expect minimum of 5-6K TL ($160) for a full course (appetizer, sushi, main meal, desert). Bottle of Moet champagne is 9000TL ($290).
3. Food is really good! Sushi are wonderful. Novikov is a Russian restaurant brand and Moscow restaurants are famous for their quality. Something we are proud to export. It was interesting to try it out in Istanbul.
4. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and had a lot of fun. As a compliment they brought us a cake with a candle and liquid ice which was floating all over the table: really cool!
5. We did not sit right next to the window and it’s no problem: you can see the Bosphorus from every point in the terrace. And you should look at your fiancé anyway ;)
6. Also we stayed at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, where the restaurant is located. Brunch at Novikov is even better (230 euro per person), self-service with seafood.

Dined at a restaurant with one of the best Bosphorus views. The food, especially the seafood, was of excellent quality. The service was okay, and while the location is a bit far from the center, the taxi ride took about 40 minutes. Overall, a great spot for stunning views and delicious seafood.

I was looking to take my family to a restaurant that the food and service would be outstanding and I have to say Noviko at Mandarin Oriental Istanbul did not disappoint. The food was delicious, cocktails were great and the presentation of all courses and drinks were beautiful (they were a piece of art), however we all have seen fancy restaurants with delicious food what made this restaurant special was the service from the host team smile to, very professional sommelier and our amazing waiter Korhan who went above and beyond to make sure our dinner went smooth. He paid attention to every detail, had a great knowledge of the food and he was very attentive from the beginning to the end. Now I know what a five start service should be like. A special thank you to Neşe who helped me to make this reservation and accommodated us on the table I requested. The price in this restaurant is very high compared to some other fine dining restaurants I have been in Istanbul but I believe for a special occasion it definitely worth it.
