The food was great and tasted fresh! We got a curry and drunken noodles and would recommend both. Portion size was very good too I couldn’t finish which is unlike me.

We've been enjoying this restaurant since we moved here. The food is DELICIOUS. Chicken meat is always good as are all the veggies they use. Have never had a dish not liked. The owners try hard to not impact the customer with the higher prices that have plagued the food industry and have done well. I applaud this place for keeping good Asian food available to us in Suttons Bay.

The price on the menu is not what you will be charged. I ordered sweet and sour chicken $15.00 When my check came, I was charged $18.00. They also added $5.51 for a tip and $1.32 for credit card use. I spoke with the manager who refused to adjust the price. Except for the $1.32 credit card fee, I paid cash.

Food is delicious (could be spicier) the prices are unbelievably high. I understand that prices have increased around the county but I got two meals and spent 49 dollars. The shrimp was small and scant for 15 additional dollars.

As a local, and plant-based eater, I am so happy MUA is here. They are one of the few restaurants nearby that offer delicious vegetarian menu items with yummy tofu as a standard protein option. We usually get fried rice, pad see u, drunken noodles, all with tofu, of course! The portions are more than adequate - we can get two meals from one order. The owners and staff are friendly, kind, and run a great business. Love the new decor, too!

Throwing in my input as a Suttons Bay resident & neighboring business owner who gets MUA’s pad see u almost weekly. It’s crazy good, & has looked steady through this winter when I’m walking or driving by. Their website & menus are really clean, straight forward & up front — prices listed are in cash. Credit card fees add up, that’s really normal up here to incentivize patrons paying in cash. Leelanau has several businesses that ONLY accept cash. My morning coffee & breakfast sandwich comes to $20 before tip & honesty, I feel fine about it. I chose to live here. I choose to support local businesses. So, I feel quite fine about $20 for chicken pad see u from a local business in my town. Am I getting it daily? No. It’s special! And really delicious! And I don’t have to cook it! Twenty bucks is average, if not low, for a full meal per person in Leelanau County. Reading through these reviews makes me think a reality check is in order — remote yet desirable location & low competition have implications on costs, rent, access & shipping; so yes, prices. People who live here understand & expect it. Tourists who visit should also be aware & respectful of the rollercoaster ride that is the service industry here. Suttons Bay & Leelanau County loves this family, their business & their food & will continue supporting them — truly, regardless of their prices. It’s what we do.
And, so help me… if you are going to complain about 20% gratuity after being served a $100+ meal outside of your home, your review means nothing to me. That is the norm. That is the expectation. You are being served. If you want to decide the amount to tip for take out, pay in cash & you get to choose how much to add to the tip jar.

Food was delicious and new atmosphere made me wish I did not order carry out. Dinner entrees were large enough for 2 people to share. Delicious, thoughtful dishes with quality in mind. I am so happy to stay in Leelanau County and not have to drive to TC for bad Chinese food when we can stay local, support local and eat at MUA Asian Cuisine.
