A must visit when in Belfast. One of the few waterfront places in town and they have a huge beer list where each one I’ve had is genuinely top notch. Dog friendly, great view, and accepting of everyone. The beer garden is also enclosed during the winters so sitting waterfront next to the enclosed fire pit is very comfortable during Maine winters. Definitely worth visiting when in town any time of the year.
Have now tried it twice, have walked out twice. Weird vibe where nobody who works there seems to concern themselves when you come in. Last time, we left because nobody was seating anyone. This time we were seated and then ignored, so finally left. There appears to be plenty of staff, but they seem to congregate at the front bar area, rather than waiting tables. There was one guy there putting wood in the stove, and who seemed in charge, but neither he nor anyone else seemed interested in ensuring a good customer experience. Very odd. Went to a nearby pub instead, with a very attentive staff, and had a great experience.
Added in response to the owner's response: The point was not to "hurt" you, that is ridiculous. I am just reporting on my experience. I am sure your staff works hard, but there is a process failure when the staff is not systematically tracking who has been seated and when. C'mon.
Such an amazing brewery and a great selection of beers to try! Every single one I enjoyed and I especially enjoyed the view too. Brendan who works there is wonderful and made my experience very enjoyable. 10/10 place!
One of the most amazing accidental afternoons ever! We went into Belfast to see the large floating ducks in the water. But, we were given clear guidance that we had to stop at Marshall Wharf for a beer. It was an incredible space with phenomenal views. The beers were all delicious everyone was so friendly. Can't wait to go back!
Venue has great bands and great beers!
However, the wait system would benefit from a total overhaul. They appeared to be well staffed. And the staff were definitely working hard. Despite that, there were significant delays and lines to order. My chowder came out as cold as my beer. The kitchen shutdown relatively early, and we weren't able to order meals and the sun was still out! So, I'd recommend eating beforehand.
We still had a fun time! :)
Stopped in for lunch and had a great time with great food. We had the shrimp cocktail and flatbread pizza and both were fresh and excellent. They have a large selection of brewed beers and all sampled were very good. This is right on the water and provided excellent views of the harbor. They are good dog friendly. Recommended and we will be back.
This was such a great choice for a drink after driving in from Bar Harbor and Bucksport’s obvervatory. They were definitely short staffed on the 4th of July because the weather was supposed to be rainy and miserable. The staff stepped it up and worked very hard to get everyone seated and fed. They did a great job! Really nice outdoor atmosphere by the water. Fun, tasty selection of IPAs! Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. He was ready to explain each IPA to us for our beer flight! Tables got cleaned in timely manner. The pepperoni flatbread was actually really good! Beers were great. Happy happy time in Belfast, Maine from Nebraska!!!
Awesome atmosphere! I loved the Sail Pumper, absolutely delicious! Every member of staff we encountered were top shelf! The Beer Atrium is dog-friendly which is a big plus for me. The stove in the back corner pumps out a lot of wonderful heat on a cool night. Don't miss this place!
We were surprised by the amount of outside seating with a great view of the harbor. Very nice! Service was excellent and beer selection is great. Excellent place to go if you just want to drink beer. Not much of a food selection and no great options for non beer drinkers, who should plan on drinking water or bring your own soda.
Update...went back and they have expanded the food menu and the non-beer beverages. We sat by the harbor and had a flight of beer, a root beer, and a cheese pizza. Excellent!
I liked this brewing company. It was a great location with an ocean view. They serve some food, and they have a huge selection of beer. If you are planning to have an actual dinner, this is not the place, they do not have a big food menu. Even tho, you are not gonna be hungry. My favorite beer was that called something like "Sassy Orange." It tasted like citrus. My boyfriend and I tried their soup of the day, that day it was spicy crab bisque, six oysters, and pretzel with cheese and mustard. Everything tasted great. We also tried their local chips that are called "Fox Family." We decided to try BBQ flavor but our server did not mention that it will be extremely HOT. Just letting you know that if you decide to try BBQ flavor it tastes good but it is super hot. I loved the place overall. They are dog friendly as well, we brought there our dog once.
