This place is cute! I am a plant mom myself, and all the living (and nonliving) plants in the store have great appeal to me. Plus, it kinda helps with the tropical Costa Rican vibe. The menu wasn't huge. I came here because either wanted to see what a Cost Rican is like. I've been to the Caribbean where rice, bean and plantains are always on the menu. But I wanted to know what makes CR dishes different. I ordered the Casado, which had all the elements I wanted in a dish. It had rice, a tomato/ lettuce salad, beans, plantains and shredded chicken. I would rather have the chicken not shredded but that's my only complaint of this dish. It was sumptuous and made even better with some hot sauce. My sister had the Mariscada which is like a seafood soup. I think this is a good place to try new flavors, especially those who are unsure about Latino food. The flavors are mild but work well together and if all else fails, they have a burger. 🙂 Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Our heartfelt thanks to Jennifer and her team for making our September 2023 wedding reception so memorable! Prior to our wedding, Jennifer took time to meet with us both to help us plan all the details of our wedding dinner and reception. On the day of our wedding, all the staff made us feel incredibly welcomed and went above and beyond to create a happy atmosphere. We felt that the staff were very much part of our wedding. The food was exceptional, and the feedback from our guests was incredibly positive. We highly recommend Marna's Eatery as an event location, including for your wedding reception--you will not be disappointed! I've gone to Marna's twice now once for dinner and once for Brunch and both times were amazing! I got to try some new dishes and everything is delicious. We came in Saturday at 1pm. Food was good, came out fast, but portions are too small for the price. There was a banana leaf at the bottom of our dishes, not used to wrap anything just like a garnish. But it made it more difficult to eat the food. We both thought it was dumb and didn’t add anything. Service was very inattentive. We had to go looking for our server a couple of times. Waters were never refilled. She never asked if we wanted anything else and when my friend wanted to order more she just assumed we wanted the check. We were one of 4 tables there and most of the time the other employees were just standing around talking to each other which made it all the more frustrating. We went for Valentine’s Day, and let me just say, the only thing we could talk about our entire 2 hours there was how amazing the food was and how pleasantly surprised we were. This is undoubtedly the best restaurant I have been to in Minnesota. The prices are extremely fair, the service is great and not overwhelming. One of those places where you just want to keep eating after you’re full because it’s so great. We were in a constant “wtf how did they do this, how can we make this at home” state. The only thing we would recommend / change, is that there is SO much flavor in each dish, and so many drink options, we would’ve loved if there was a drink pairing or drink recommendation for each meal. We definitely will be back, and are so happy we tried Marna’s for the first time in Valentine’s Day. This place is sooooo good, heres why; The foods is amazing!!! So much wonderful flavors, wonderful things happening to your taste buds. There wasn’t one thing I didn’t love. Food recommendations; carne desmachada, you have to get a corn bread if you’re going, Bistec, the maiz dulce, and of course the churro dessert. The drinks are beautiful and tasty. The atmosphere is beautiful and feels like you’re escaping the cold MN winter for just a moment. The service was great, the only thing I will say thats off putting is they do have a 10% wellness charge which I do think is frustrating especially because I didn’t see it labeled on the menu. However, this place is so amazing, I still gave it a 5 because thats how good the food is. The food was even better than I remembered. Very delicious and flavorful! If they improve their service, they'll be a 5/5. I would have understood if they were busy, but they were very slow.
