There are literally not enough stars for our incredible Mario’s experience. We ordered a large takeaway order on a busy Saturday night. We did have to wait awhile at the bar for our order and unfortunately there were a couple items missing when we got the order home. I called to just have them refund the missing items. BUT they happened to have a catering event near us so the missing items were actually delivered to our doorstep. (Now I don’t think this is a regular practice and we got lucky.) I mean, wow! What incredible service. Our food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I hadn’t eaten at Mario’s in years as I no longer live in Dubuque. So this meal had high nostalgia expectations. The reasonable snacks were perfect! And the pizza bread with cheese with the white sauce AND the red sauce…. Chef’s kiss. The tiramisu was one of our missing items and they brought us 2 pieces. What a delicious dessert! It tasted just like it always has and was so yummy. A wonderful meal with above and beyond service. Thank you Mario’s!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

People kept telling me about this Panzerotti they have here. Well, I've now tried it and it was really good. I got the baked one (instead of deep-fried). It is really stuffed full of cheese. I got pepperoni and green olives in mine and, to be honest, it could've used a bit more of that vs the cheese volume - but I'm not complaining. I'd easily get it again. The other thing about it is that it is easily two meals, maybe three. I'd like to try some other stuff next time, but the Panzerotti would be hard to pass up. Its been a long while since I have eaten at Marios. But its just like I remember. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. I will eat there again sooner than later next time.
