I went for dinner with my husband and kids, I’ve been here many times and enjoyed it in the past. Today I felt we weren’t treated right. Right from the start when I tried to order the waiter discouraged what we wanted to order, but from past experiences we know they are very slow to bring food so wanted to order a few dishes to start. Then he brought our food it was disappointing looked like leftover sushi was falling apart. The waiter disappeared for long stretches and we finally had to get up to try to order more food. When it was time to pay he brought the check and again disappeared. We got up and went to the cashier to pay and he was there chatting. He quickly grabbed the check and hung over us and watched as we signed and left tip. It was very disgraceful. The food was very expensive and quality and service was awful. Sorry to say…. I used to come to Maki Maki all the time. This was my favourite place. This week I came twice with my family and friends and in both times the menu was taken away from us and we were told we can’t get any more food although I thought it was an open buffet. This time I came with my family and all together we were 6 people, once again the menu was taken with them refusing to offer more food. I had prepared cash money and was going to offer it after because they informed me of the price in advance. What I didn’t expect was when I got the bill, I had an extra 24$ to pay for “ gratuity” and was written in a very small writing that isn’t visible to the eye. When I got to paying they told me about the extra money, and they waited last minute with my kids. I prepared the tip and everything. I was put in a horrible position of asking my kids for money all because I don’t have a PayPal card with me. I gave the waitress the money and she returned .5 cents to me to show that I’m selfish for not tipping her even though I didn’t have the card and money. They say "all you can eat" but they take the menu from you only after a little while. They're late to give the food at the end too. Also there was hair in my food and plates. Although the food tasted amazing and extremely well done, every few plates they offered had hair in it and its disgusting. This is my first time coming here and I'm very dissapointed. Great selection of all you can eat sushi! It was fresh and delicious; great value for the quality. I think they slow down the service as you keep ordering, and the music selection was kind of off for an date night dinner, but overall a great experience. For many years I went to the maki maki restaurant and I loved it. But I didn't go for a long time, for about two years. When I returned, I received terrible service from a server, who kept rushing us through orders. My friend and I were talking calmly and we noticed that the server was looking at us as if she were angry with us. And suddenly she brought our bill without us asking and was removing everything and even a plate of food. I restrained her and made her put the plate back because we wanted to make more orders and didn't have that much time in the restaurant. We were very irritated and had already decided that we would tip less for the poor service. When I paid in cash, I added the tip. My friend noticed that the server was behind me and checked the money. However, she came back, returned the tip saying it was below normal and therefore wouldn't accept it and only charged the cost of lunch. Because of her shamelessness, she was left without the tip. And I hope you learn to give good service, if you want to earn well. I had never experienced this and had great experiences with other servers at the past, but I noticed that the quality of service fell due to complaints from acquaintances and the experience I had. I have experienced the best service so far. A waiter named Tiffany is friendly, professional and self-motivated. Most importantly, I hope everyone will not forget to give more tips and smiles to those who work hard.

Maki Maki has a solid all-you-can-eat Sushi option including a good assortment of rolls and other Japanese dishes. All the seafood that we had was very fresh and delicious; and, we ate to our hearts’ content.
