Great coffee, great breakfast selection. Staff was vey nice, even tought breakfasr are only until 12:00, i came at 13:15 and they agreed tocmake what i wanted specially. Prices are reasonable.

edited to answer owner reply: I've visited MAFIA twice during my stay in Chernigov, the first time was good and I could give 5 stars for it, but the second time waiter brought us the wrong set of rolls after we specifically discussed together that we've had this exact set last time and wanted to order another one. It was not THAT big of a deal and we didn't pay much attention to it, but giving a perfect score for an order that wasn't fulfilled correctly is also something I will not do. Still, the food is good, the establishment is comfy and prices are not bad either.

Just had a surprising and underwhelming experience when we got medium-to well.done steak instead of rare one, definitely made NOT from the aged beef, but from pork or , I can give that a little chance - very young veal. We talked to chief, asked to make another one - and it was pretty not bad rare wet-aged steak. Fun fact is looking to the both of them on my dishes, he still denied that first one was not what was ordered.

A good place to sing karaoke. As it is a chain, the food is the same as at other locations. The drinks are the same too. However the karaoke is a great little touch. It starts at 10 Nd caries on through the night to 4 or 5. When we were there - girls enter for free and guys had to pay a small entrance fee. The people there are a mix of the usual boozed up crowd and what seems like pro and semi pro singers practicing their craft. Between every song is music (which is rather loud and awful). The hosts sing too so it's not like every other song goes to the customers ... In all other respects - good fun

I am giving 2* simply for the Tiramisu and restaurant interior. I have been so many times to mafia in Kiev - never had any issues. However, when we came yesterday to Chernigov's one were highly disappointed. I was sold by the BBQ smell and the fact that I need proper food after a long day. Ordered Ribeye. Presentation was good, however it was the only good part about it. TERRIBLE THICK GRISSLE AND TENDONS ALL THROUGH IT! When the waitress came to take the plate she didn't ask how was it, and the fact that it was hardly started didn't even surprised her. I told her it was impossible to chew and potato was the best part of the whole plate. No action has been taken. At the end we were presented with the full receipt like nothing happend. When manager came, her excuse was that ribeye always full of tendons. Such a bs... She offered free cheesecake (after we had already Tiramisu) and that will never happen before (How? She just said that's how the steak always turn out). And anyway, who will come back again after that? There are so many great restaurants in Chernigov to choose from but Mafia is not one of them. If you have no other choice, my friendly advice - just stick to a tiramisu.
