We were a party of six. My wife ordered the huge nachos plate. The avocado they served on top of them was dark brown. Who wants to eat a brown avocado? It would be like serving a banana split with black bananas. The meatloaf had barely cooked bacon on it, and I think barbecue sauce. Not good at all. If you can't do meatloaf or nachos right, just don't serve them. Never going back to this place. I will say our waiter was awesome. This is now the second time we have tried to eat here and not even been sat. We came in today and told the hostess we had a party of four. The dining room was pretty empty. The hostess acted dumb founded by our request and went off to talk to 4 other workers. She came back and said “party of 2 right?” of which we said “no we have 4”. She then left again and came back with another worker. They once again repeated “2 right?”. After standing there for 10 minutes with no direction from the hostess, we left. Top tier restaurant for sure! We found this place on a trip to Montana. We loved it so much, that we went back, and found other locations to eat at along the way home! It's fantastic. I got the small pizza, half stockman (yes, it has steak strips on it!!) and half smoking Q. I'm a craft pizza snob, and these two flavors are in the top 5 best I've had. Wife got the rancher, and it was delicious. Even my daughter's Mac and cheese pizza from the kids menu was way better than normal pizza. My wife has written the company trying to get them to open one in Tennessee. Absolutely try this place, you'll love it! We are going back again tomorrow, going to try burgers, and can't wait! Update - went back the next day, California Burger was awesome! Guacamole and pineapple salsa with bacon, yes please! Fries were extra good. Unfortunately just not good food. Cobb and Caesar salad both had frozen chicken on it. Salads tasted like they had been in a freezer all day. Had another order come out wrong. Server was great but food was poor. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Enjoyed our latest visit to MacKenzie River. The place was empty so we got sat quickly. Our server was quick with drinks and refills. The food was a little longer than i would have imagined with how slow they were, but we were visiting with friends, so i didn't mind. The checks took longer than normal to get. The food was delicious, but they were out of fish, which impacted half of our table. Will return for the food variety and low key atmosphere.
