Le Saint Nicolas Restaurant in Gravigny

Le Saint Nicolas is a charming restaurant located in the sleepy Normandy village of Gravigny. The exterior may not be particularly inspiring, but the interior is spacious and features draped ceilings and a beautiful courtyard garden with a pond and fountain. The menu is available in English, although it has clearly been translated literally word-for-word with a French-English dictionary, which can make some of the dishes incomprehensible or funny to read. However, once you understand what's on offer, the food is delicious. The filet steak and magret canard are cooked perfectly and there are some truly unique dishes like foie gras ice cream. The wine list is also impressive and includes local cider. Service is slow but friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Overall, Le Saint Nicolas is an excellent restaurant that offers a unique dining experience. Highly recommended.
