Not only should Lake Saguaro be visited, but also Shiprock Restaurant. It's worth coming to this steakhouse to try tasty fried chicken, fried catfish and coleslaw. Here people can delve deep into delicious dishes, and try good flija, brownies and bread pudding. It's a must to taste delicious beer or good wine when visiting Shiprock Restaurant. According to the reviewers' opinions, waiters offer great tea. The homely atmosphere of this place allows guests to relax after a hard working day. This spot is recommended for the hospitable staff. The nice service is something these restaurateurs care about. From the visitors' point of view, prices are low. It is noteworthy that decor is fancy. Google users awarded this steakhouse 4.1.

Any restaurant that brings your dog a large bowl of ice-water is GREAT in my book. The food won’t win any culinary awards, but it doesn’t misrepresent itself either. A friendly lake-front restaurant to grab some food, and my waiter in particular was really great. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My wife & I live in Tempe and love going out to Saguaro Lake and having lunch once a month or so. The drive… the desert & Mountain View’s & scenery.., sitting outdoors above the lake itself… and the lake action or inaction… Beautiful! Menu has something for everyone… my wife almost always has the fish & chips basket… it is exceptional! I’ve had maybe a dozen items or so. All were good to great. Fish & chips basket, shrimp & chips basket, various salads, even chicken livers… all are great! We’ll kept going back! Very nice restaurant with good view of you are sitting outdoor but I recommend sitting indoor as it is very hot this time around. I have their fish and chips and it’s very nice and not too expensive! I would also like to thank Brad, he is very friendly, energetic and attentive, he made the whole experience a few times better! Thank you. This place rocks! No pun intended... The server, Dawn was awesome and had such a beautiful aura that no words can describe. The food was delicious and reasonably priced but the spectacular view of the lake was as beautiful as the atmosphere around me! In conclusion, I obviously recommend Shiprock restaurant even if your not there to boat, swim or fish.... it's the place to be! As an Arizona native, I have been to this restaurant many times and absolutely love it. It is a fantastic place to take out of town guests for a good meal, great scenery, and great service (although it is a bit pricey). HOWEVER ... Yesterday my daughter and I went here for lunch and left feeling very ill. It was the first time we have ever sent back WATER!!! The water was absolutely disgusting - it smelled and tasted like it was pumped in directly from the lake. The tea and sodas with ice had the same problem. Our sweet server explained to us that she had ordered a water filter from Amazon, but it was taking forever to arrive. Unfortunately, we wound up purchasing our drinks from the soda machine next to the front door (at $2 a can), as anything we were served was undrinkable. During our dining experience, we watched as several other guests returned their water and drinks due to the bad taste. The bad tasting water and drinks were the talk at every table around us. On the way home, my daughter threw up, began sweating, and feeling dizzy. She is very sensitive to what she consumes and unfortunately had a fews gulps of the water before realizing it was bad. She had an upset stomach the rest of the day. A few thoughts for the management/ownership of Shiprock: 1. If you know something you are serving is bad, not up to standard, and/or continually being returned by your guests, DON'T SERVE IT WITHOUT FAIR WARNING! Just a sip of bad water and beverages with bad ice completely turned us off to the rest of the meal and experience. We could not get the metallic taste out of our mouth, even after eating our meals and an entire roll of Mentos! 2. Always have a back-up water filter on hand so you don't have to worry if Amazon is taking too long to deliver. 3. Consider going to any store to get jugs or bottles of purified drinking water to serve to guests until your water situation is rectified. 4. Also ... remove the $1.67 "technology fee" from your guest checks. For as much as you charge for the food, I think this is something the restaurant can absorb rather than the customer. It just left another bad taste in our mouth. Give all of this, we will return to Shiprock ... we'll just a little more wary of the water and ice! Shiprock ... I know and pray you can do better next time! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

You’re coming here for the views not the food, my friends 😉 Although, our meals were pretty darn good! The French dip and Reuben with fries were delicious! I had the fuzzy melon ball drink which was quite tasty and my husband had the Tito’s lemonade which was very strong! The views were stunning and the breeze was nice! Everything on the menu is $16.99-18.99. The up-charge for swapping regular fries for sweet potato fries was $3.99 and that is excessive so I passed on that. We had an enjoyable time here but if you read other reviews, you will see that this place is not typically known for their food. After lunch, you can grab a beer or wine at the gift shop and enjoy it on their boat roof deck. Very nice!
Stumbled onto the Shiprock, on a drive out of the city. It was a winter gray day, so it wasn’t very busy which was perfect sat on the patio, looking out over an amazing view of the lake and mountains ordered the French step, which was really really good and would recommend it really fresh and moist. And the french fries are delicious and crispy, great service, with a smile Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
This place truly is worth the views and the outdoor seating definitely is it’s selling point. The onion rings and fish and chips were delicious. The staff is friendly and the food is reasonable price wise.
Great views of the reservoir on the patio, but the food is just average. They served our croissant sandwiches in very small baskets which makes it hard to cut or even to pick it up. Would be so much better on a nice roomy plate. Prices are very high for such average food. I think it's the only place to eat in the area, so they don't have any reason to try harder. Parking lot was totally full at 1 pm on a Friday. We had to park in the overflow parking lot, which isn't easy to find. I would go back (for the views), but ask for a dinner plate to put my food on. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
-kinda overpriced -not too many options for vegetarians -wait time to get food is super long. Severely understaffed (1 waitress for around 14 tables) -food is pretty good. French fries and grilled cheese are amazing. Chicken tenders breading is too fried, but the chicken is tender/juicy
