A birthday diner that didn’t meet my expectations sadly…
The service was stressed and didn’t speak a word of English except the manager. The wine selection is small and expensive for the quality (found better wine in other restaurants in Izmir)
The food had a big selection and the meat was good but the fries and vegetables came cold…
The nicely gave a little cheesecake for the birthday (only thing that made the night go well)
I would recommend a staff who knows English and a real effort for the fries and vegetables

I really don't get it. Everyone atour table disliked their meals. mostly because of quality of food and flavor. Some dishes served cold. Wait staff was very slow. 20 minutes to receive first drinks.
The "live music” was cringe to watch. They played the Gypsy kings album and for the most part this was lip synced. I could tell because there are multiple male voices singing the song and only one male on the mix. They turned down the microphones so only Gypsy kings would be heard really. They forget to turn on the females microphone when she tried to actually sing.
I was looking forward to this place but was really let down.

First time I went there was 5 years ago. A decent restaurant with a good service that encouraged me to go back around twice a year. The quality of the food was gradually deteriorating but tonight’s experience was something else. I went there with my wife and nephew, ordering a pizza, a steak and a burger. The service arrived so late, even though there were not many customers around. Then the service arrived, including 3 pieces of bread and probably 50 grams of olives, but there were no plates. We had to wait for another 10 minutes to get some plates. Next was ordering drinks. I ordered a beer from the menu which they said they don’t have it. The waiter offered some other beers which would cost a fortune, but I insisted that I wanted to have local beer. Finally the food arrived. The steak was so small and so poorly garnished that I immediately lost my appetite. The pizza seemed to be ok, but my wife didn’t touch it. The burger was a bite, small enough to be devoured by a cat, surrounded by plenty of potatoes. We didn’t even touch the food. I paid the bill, and we left the restaurant, paying more than 1200 for a beer and some water. Then we went to a real restaurant to eat. Worst dining experience ever.
I went last year the service was very good, the food was amazing but today the service was very very bad u need to wait for an hour until a waiter looks at you, the food was not just bad it was also cold, even after we asked them to change it.
The atmosphere on the other hand is nice.

This is my fourth time here. We come here because of the vibe. Food is not impressive. Nevertheless this dish ‘la cigale’ was really the worst.
It is written.. Fresh pasta with gorgonzola sauce and walnut with spinach???
First… the pasta was NOT FRESH one. The sauce was hardly found or tasted like gorgonzola but more cream. The taste was very bland!
Very disappointed…
The other dishes were mediocre 🙄🙄
