Note they are an ancient restaurant, they try to keep up the theme, cuisine, language and food too. So expect just that. :) Also they have menu in Brabant dialect of Dutch and English(ask for it). We tried all their food options the bouncers, soup, raisin bread and strawberry pie( though this was a little light and it flew out and disappeared in mid air). Favourite spot for a satisfying afternoon or Sunday brunch. Food is amazing, the staff is beyond friendly and the surroundings are just perfect for walks and hikes. Over 5 years visiting and strongly willing to keep it this way!

Great food for reasonable price. I had my lunch on my way back from Beksee Bergen with my family. Lovely ambience with very friendly staff. Don't forget to visit the near by attractions. I liked my visit and by any chance if i travel this route I would definitely take a break here.

Beautiful old farm style buildings in the middle of the forest, very pretty. We had a lovely walk there after our meal and a few drinks. As others have said there is plenty for kids to do :) really nice day out.

Simple menu, but very nice authentic location near a nice nature reserve.

Who doesn't like an ancient farmhouse in the middle of a beautiful forest? With horses, and local food and coffee and beer? This is a great place to visit on a sunny day. The food is simple, but very nice. The service is great. And if you're bored sitting in the farmyard watching children order ice-cream by ringing the bell next to the oak tree, you can go for a walk in the surrounding nature reserve. A magical place. One warning: In den Bockenreyder is somewhat difficult to find and only accessible via unpaved roads.
