We came here on the 28th of February and we came late so it was night shift there was only one sever, our sever was so sweet and she was not the problem. The cooks sucked. They forgot to put the toast on our egg plate and we over heard the cooks getting really angry about it. And the cooks were like the the whole time we waited 25 minutes for toast. Again not the severs fault the server apologized multiple times. The cooks need to do better. Place was empty and couldn't get my order placed for 10 min. The food came out later than expected and the order was missing the side salad and butter for the pancakes. The pot roast was shredded and looked like soup. The steak tips were not done enough looked white. The food was barely ate. We paid 3.99 for a 16oz soda! What a rip off! Very disappointed 😞. Short version: staffing is always an issue but customer service is usually okay. however, today the customer service was terrible ! Long version: Today is national pancake day so we were expecting a wait, but we were not expecting such trash customer service. I arrived around 6:40 and the lobby was packed and had a line out the door. Not once did anyone come to say something to the people standing on line. We didn’t get a “welcome in” “hello” orI’ll be right with you.” We just got looked at by the woman in the red sweater who I’m guessing is the manager. Most of us just wanted to eat since it was getting late and we were there with our children, who were at their wits end. There were also people waiting on pick up orders and they had to take the initiative to GO TO THE KITCHEN to ask for their order because no one ever showed up at the front desk! Around 7:10 I tried to convince my child to get something else and they were dead set on pancakes (they love ihop) so when an employee finally came by I asked about the promo and the employee mentioned she can’t ring up the coupon because of the time. Like are you serious? As soon as she said that, myself and two other families with children left. It was about 7:30. A few of us believe we were deliberately ignored in order to not overwhelm the staff. Which is unfortunate because it did feel that way. This particular location always has issues with staffing but customer service was never so bad. I can understand being short. But I won’t tolerate bad service. Very great service. Very great food. I will definitely be coming again. The waitress named Amanda was an awesome Hostess. My wife and I was very pleased with her service and her kindness. Thanks Amanda!!! Update: on the third of January of 2024, My wife noticed that extra money toward tips had been debited from her account. One that had not been authorized. After speaking with management about the matter, we were told it would be refunded back to my wife’s card in 3 business days. It’s now the 11th of January, and that refund has yet to show up.
