Me and my family went around 7pm and the restaurant only had one person seated and one server. Took a long time to get seated when the server finally went to see who was there she asked with attitude how many with food in her mouth. A different person came in and she asked if they had a pick up, they said no that they wanted to dine in, she rolled her eyes and said nothing. She started walking us without a word to our seat, left us there without saying anything and walked away. We ignored it, and took our time, took a while to get our order taken even tho there was only one person seated who was eating already. Finally our food came, the eggs for the benditics were super over cooked, the chicken strips were burnt, and the pancakes tasted like raw dough. I enter the bathroom. One urinal is half filled with dark yellow urine. I choose the other urinal. As I am using the facilities, an employee enters. They add their fill to the collection, turning the color more of a dark amber. They did not flush. They did not wash their hands. Also took way too long to be seated and even longer to get our order taken. They were not busy. Employees just face timing their families instead so I guess they had a good time. I ordered curbside said it would be done at 9:43 a.m. I sat and curbside until 10:10 a.m. and finally had to go inside and my food had just been sitting there forever and nobody brought it out to me and I made sure that I had checked in and I was in the correct spot. What is the point of ordering curbside if you end up having to go inside?! Staff seem like they didn't have anything under control. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I went to IHOP with my family whole visiting Minnesota. They didn't have many options but they had an impossible burger. They provided a small amount of fries with the meal. The burger was OK with the extras (e.g., pickles, ketchup). We did have children with us. They gave them the kids menu with the crosswords and coloring activities but didn't bring them crayons. Got a large take out order and everything was great, food cooked perfectly and to our order. Only issue was that 1 of the meals was not in our take out bag. Called store and talked with manager on duty and we received a gift certificate for the next time we order from them or dine in. Handled great, and exactly how it should've gone. He apologized, made the situation right by us and quickly resolved over site, and we were very impressed with the handling of things. 5 stars as far as I'm concerned. Great jobs, to the whole staff. Well that was the worst experience I’ve ever had at an iHop. Tuesday morning at 1100. No hostess working, people waiting in the front. 80% of the tables were empty but it took 10 minutes to get seated even though at least four waitresses were working. Once seated, a waitress took our drink order. 5 minutes later a different waitress came over to tell us they were out of iced tea, orange juice, and kid cups. We said no issues, ordered our food. Girlfriend tried to order the gluten free pancakes on the menu, but we were told they were out of them. Okay… picked something different. Came back with our food… but they didn’t have our orders of bacon… they apologized, and blamed Ramadan and a food delivery truck being delayed for being out of gluten free pancakes, tea, bacon, and kid cups (it’s July… Ramadan ended in April). Half way through our meal someone started trying to call the front desk. Out of the five people I saw working, nobody picked up the phone. The phone rang for the next two minutes while we ate. The food we got was fine, the 1 star is to reflect that they were missing a bunch of staples from their own menu. Staff seemed overworked, gave a 25% tip to the waitress because she seemed frustrated that they were out of 40% of the things we ordered and I felt bad for her. I’d recommend making the drive to a different location. Store was clean, tables were clean, and food was served hot. To sum it up: - No tea - No bacon - No kids cups - No orange juice - No gluten free pancakes - No hostess - Nobody picking up phones - Assistant Manager was combative about the store being out of food. She blamed Ramadan for a food truck delivery issue, but Ramadan ended two and a half months ago. Corporate should come do a check on this store. They’re damaging your brand. Stumbled upon this IHOP while in town with my father while he is receiving cancer treatments. He was hungry for IHOP and this was the closest to our hotel. Didn’t read previous reviews until waiting for our food, and honestly feel most are pretty unfair 🤷‍♀️ We arrived and the server was helping another table so one of the cooks let us know someone would be with us shortly. The server came and seated us shortly after, getting our drink order and letting us know about Hoppy Hour specials right away. Our order was taken and food arrived, looking fabulous, quickly. While eating we started hearing the two cooks in the kitchen talking, joking, and frankly just having fun in the kitchen. Louder than I am use to yes, but nothing inappropriate, rude, or offensive, just lively laughter as they started sharing some favorite songs back and forth. Yes, again, we could easily hear the songs they were sharing but again nothing overbearing. More of the feeling you were at a friends house and they were cooking dinner for you. The food was AMAZING!! My dad, who hasn’t had an appetite and often complains food either has a funny after taste or no taste ate 3/4 of his order! I had an omelet that was phenomenal! Our experience was definitely different than I have had at other restaurants, but not bad and frankly once I got past it being something different was enjoyable. What a surprise! IHOP did not disappoint. I went here with low expectations. Not because it's IHOP but because it's in Brooklyn Center, and most businesses seem to be experiencing staffing shortages. The IHOP staff was friendly the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I ordered online, and the food was ready at the exact time stated. Portions were nice. Bacon was cooked to perfection. French toast was extra thick and delicious also. The restaurant was clean. Thanks for a great experience!
