Great place a little expensive 4 my pocket. But when they have their sales every week they r great 2 shop. I just bought my Sara Lee honey wheat bread 4 1.99 president day sale & let me just say that is a bargain. Walmart has it 4 3 28 from 2.98 never has it on sale. The same 4 price chopper. Hyvee is great just look out 4 those sale adds on TV every wk. Great place.
I don't live near this particular HyVee however like I'll have these stories it was clean friendly and customer care was excellent I was able to get me steak dinner for 10 bucks and also I picked up an authentic Chiefs jersey.
OMG - hot deli performance this morning was totally unsatisfactory. No buffet, I ordered off the menu my stomach is so upset - and an employee made a rude remark to another employee (woman of color in front of me.) I’ll shop somewhere else and cook at home. Also, on multiple occasions, I have bought spoiled shrimp from the meat counter. What is our world coming to?
This is the perfect neighborhood store to pop in for weekend groceries or random items during the week. The deli staff is genuinely nice and personable. The security guard and staff who patrol the aisles and watch the self check out are nice as well but I wouldn't define it as genuine. The employees and owners have every right to protect the asset. Please be mindful that when it comes to due diligence there is a fine line between surveillance, being vigilant and profiling. Thieves are found in all genders and races.
Please teach everyone who works in the checkout area how to properly bag groceries. For example, do not put apples on top of a loaf of bread, do not put only 2 cans and a half gallon of ice-creams in one paper bag, when other items will fit, please double bag paper bags that include glass milk bottles. PLEASE put greeting cards IN the grocery bags, not just in a small paper bag somewhere in the bagging area. This is not a one time occurrence, but has happened enough to prompt this comment!
The cleanliness, freshness, and availability of all we need is a 5 star, but when you don’t make it home with greeting cards and your bread is squashed, it negates how great the store is otherwise!
First time in the store and I love it. It as everything that you need. I live in Massachusetts they don't have supermarkets like Hy-Vees here with kind of layout. I was very impressed with the meat cuts and everything else.
I am in this store about once a week. I love the quality of the food sold here. The staff truly epitomizes the chains slogan. They are truly helpful and smiling literally in every aisle.
5+ stars isn’t enough for Staci i the Floral department. She saved my wedding day!! On my way to my wedding ceremony and realized my bouquet was left behind and we were too far to turn around to get it!
Found myself in Hy-Vee looking for a replacement bouquet on the fly and Staci TOOK CARE of me. She found exactly what I wanted and put together a beautiful bouquet and I was even still able to make it to my ceremony on time! Thank you so much Staci! You’re the best!!
Purchase Chinese food. They open late or I should say they did not have anything ready at 11:00. Then the Catering manager came over. Only did like one scoop of each. And he can't really tell the guy he's doing a bad job when he's doing a job that's not even his to do. Honestly I wanted to leave everything there but my conscience wouldn't let me. So now I just ended up purchasing food that's twice as expensive. The whole situation is depressing.
The lady who makes sushi there is amazing. Best Hy-Vee sushi you can find. Would give her 10 stars if possible.
