Every local loves Hugo’s. Subs are bigger than you can imagine, pizza is better than any other. They have a large menu and everything on it is good. They did change to takeout or delivery only. It's impossible to understate the generosity of the portion sizes here. And not only do you get way more food than you deserve at the prices they charge, it's also delicious. Love it every time! Most of the reviews of this place are so positive, I had to give them a try. So I ordered the Philly, size small. Good thing I did, too, cuz what they call small will be dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. Also, this Philly is as good, and in some ways better than any I've ever had. Do it! We eat from Hugos quite often because we live down the road. Last night was the first night we tried their pizza. My husband, son and I tried the Taco Pizza and the Deluxe/Specialty. The taco pizza was hands down my favorite pizza I've ever had!! We couldn't wait to try the pizza before I took a picture haha.

This place is one of our family favorites! I usually get a small sub and cheese curds. I specify small sub because I could NEVER finish a whole, the small is HUGE! Two people could easily split a small sub! They are fresh and delicious every time! Well worth the drive out to Gary New Duluth! Food is by far a 10. The bathrooms on the other hand reminded me of a truck stop bathroom in Bradshaw, West virginia. Which incase you don't know is not good. There was patched up holes in the door and walls. Scratch marks everywhere and I'm not positive the door even locked. Delivery will be my go to from now on. Which is super cheap by the way.

Never been there before but on way home from Duluth the guys installing new patio door asked for Hugo's. Nice little place with tables and some games to play while you wait. And it was worth the wait!!! The subs are ginormous, I think it's a whole loaf of bread. A meal for a few days and beyond delicious! One guy didn't get to eat his meatball sub for 3 hours and the foil wrap it came in kept in warm that entire time. A must stop!!
