Wanted to like this place.. but despite making reservations, I was sat all the way in the back next to the kitchen where there’s literally nothing there but a few extra tables… even though I saw two empty tables, i asked if I could sit inside the restaurant instead of the back and they told me no that they were full. The hostess didn’t even have the courtesy to ask if I wanted to wait. Not to mention that we walked in and weren’t even greeted. 2 ppl plus the hostess just walked right by us. And if we didn’t ask the hostess, she would t of a knowledge us. I had to go ahead and spend my money in New City despite wanting to contribute to the community I live in. I left the place feeling like I wasn’t welcomed to begin with. To answer the manager below I didn’t walk away, I pulled him to the side to ask him if he wanted to stay so that way we weren’t in the way of more ppl that kept coming in. Charging ppl to sit there for the same price as the rest of the restaurant is insane. There was nothing there but tables. And if that’s not the kitchen, then the back is where your staff hangs out to wait because that’s what they were doing in the back. Before you spoke with my husband, you spoke to me because when you walked to sit us, he was at the car putting the stroller away so it wouldn’t be in the way . The courtesy you should have had was to ask me then at the moment if I would be ok with waiting that amount of time. That back there literally looks like a Chinese restaurant from the bronx compared to the rest of the restaurant. Why didn’t you sit the party before I came to you there? . If you’re the manager, then you should take some type of course or research better customer service skills so you can better serve your clients. And as I’m going down reading other reviews, ppl are commenting on how rude the staff is there.

If you are looking for a great spot for drinks and food, make sure you add Hudson mill to your short list I tend to judge pubs by their Rubin. This one is sure to please From the extensive menu to the endless drinks 🍻 you are sure to find something you love. My sister and I went for brunch for the very first time today. Everything was delicious. Our waiter gave top quality service. Unfortunately though, the manager, who wore a red and black plaid shirt, went around to every table to speak with guests except to ours. I would like to think that it was just a coincidence, but we were the only people of color there. It was disappointing because the food was really good but I don't know if we'll go back.
