We love Hickory Ranch and have dined at Hickory Ranch dozens of times. The food and service is excellent. The most recent time we came, the server was very nice and professional. One party member ordered two drinks after being told to try them as the drinks at hickory ranch are very good. Upon being served our drinks by a manager we were talked to like we were children and rudely told “ I better not see anyone who wasn’t carded drinking these. Other than this incident, Hickory Ranch has been absolutely stellar and we will continue to dine at Hickory Ranch Steakhouse. We had a reservation at 7:30. However, we got there at 7:15 and sat at the bar. We placed our order by 730. We waited over an hour. Everyone around us was getting their food before us when we had let the bartender know what’s going on they said our ticket was third in line 20 minutes after that they said it was second and that they’re backed up which was not believable because everyone else around us got their food plus the steak that we had ordered they have been truthful and said they lost the ticket. We told them to close our ticket out and they still try to charge us for the food we still have not received we gave them our received back and said we are not paying for food we have never got, they said very understandable. They took it off and still charged us for our drinks that we drink instead of apologizing, or offering us another alternative they could care less. It was Valentine’s Day. Mind you almost 9 o’clock at night now there was nothing else open didn’t even acknowledge how we felt really didn’t apologize or anything. I thought they had the worst customer service. This would have been the third year in a row to go there on Valentine’s Day. I will make sure I will not go next year. I wanted to celebrate my birthday. I wanted steak house. I was really impressed with their menu options. We got the appetizer, our steaks, salads and soup.Staff was very friendly and on point . I’m not complaining but will like to point out to those who are smoke sensitive , the smoke from steaks and fajitas permeate the room. Other than that can’t wait to come back. Best food ever!! This is one of my favorite places in the inland empire. This family run restaurant treats you like family. The service is great, the staff friendly and efficient, the ambiance is dark and rustic, and a little smoky. They have a fabulous dish of mushrooms, garlic and butter that comes on a sizzling plate! Yum! The steaks come from family farms and are exceptional. The cooks are masters of meat! They have wonderful sandwiches, salads, seafood, and let me tell you about the drinks!! They have lots of taps for your favorite beer, and the cocktails are phenomenal. They have an old fashion that comes in a smoky bell. Delicious.
