Overall, mostly everything is average here : food, options, location, prices… worth 4 stars. Took it down to 3 as upon asking if they would kindly charge my phone (I stopped here on a long distance road cycle - my phone is what allows me to find my way!), I was led inside and asked to pay 1€ for a charging machine. Upon returning at the end of the meal, my phone was not charged, and when I let the staff know they did not even offer to refund my money. In fact they were quite clear that they did not care at all. Doesn’t seem like much, it’s a euro, but it made the rest of my day very uncomfortable (try cycling across the Netherlands without a phone!), and to be honest the overall interaction with the staff was really not pleasant, they were slow and seemed like they had no care whatsoever for the customer. Pro tip : next time an exhausted cyclist asked for a little phone charge, just take it inside and plug it into a wall for 30 minutes! Every other restaurant including Michelin starred all the way down to kebab shops will do it - what makes you so special? In summary : mediocre as a whole, but would win a point if they offered to charge people’s phones.

Super cute and homely place to have any meal of the day. They have good food options for everyone and the staff is very nice. A very pleasant surprise. 😊

As always a very Nice place to stay at. Staff is excellent, fair and have a good work vibe. Food is lovely and on the menu is enough choice for a nice meal or beverage. Enjoy your time at Herberg 't Plein

We really enjoyed the food. The meal included several complimentary dishes and the portion was quite big. The prices are reasonable for a Dutch restaurant. However, service was quite slow and we had to go to the counter to handle the payment despite having asked the waiter to bring the bill.

Very good food but quite pricy especially since they charged for mayonnaise which we didn't order nor consume! The staff is ok. I'd still recommend this place as the food was truly good.

Fantastic little pub. I had several meals here. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is just what you're looking for in a pub. The people were friendly and enjoyable.
