The place has a nice atmosphere. The appetizer, boudin empenadas, was great. The main courses and sides were mediocre. The steak was tough, even cooked to medium, very chewy. The scallops were a disappointment. Other reviews rave about the street corn. It tasted very sour. I'm not sure if that was how it was supposed to taste, but we didn't eat a lot of it. Nice place to relax downtown Galveston. We had poor service, but it was during the Superbowl, so it's possible the server was watching it and distracted. The burger was supposed to medium and fairly raw. The meatballs, egg rolls, and fries were perfect though. I'd say hit and miss if you try it. Great views. We loved it! We had a dinner reservation and the atmosphere and food did not disappoint overall. The best thing we had was the grande charcuterie board - the best I’ve ever had. The pretzel with the beer cheese was amazing. I had the short ribs for dinner and it was great. The sirloin special was a little tough but that was the only snag. Highly recommend overall for a great dining experience. One of the best steak meals I’ve had in quite a long time. The Texas ribeye was well marbled, tender, and extremely flavorful. The crispy brussels sprouts and potato mash were delicious as well. I took away one star on service because they were multiple times we had to ask for our server come to our table. This is what a restaurant should aspire to be! Delicious and fresh cocktails, entrees and desserts. I had the scallops, they were amazing. Just as amazing, they were served with broccolini and sweet potatoes, the entree was superb. The side of Gouda Mac and cheese was delicious.Hubby had the Hearsay steak, which he loved. Day was our waitress, her service was excellent! She was personable, attentive and had great suggestions and recommendations. The pumpkin crème brûlée was brilliant. Will visit again soon!
