Recently, my partner and I visited a new restaurant in Monmouth, hoping to enjoy a pleasant dining experience. However, we were disappointed with the service we received. Upon entering, we were frantically greeted and told to sit between the kitchen and the bar. After taking our seats, menus were immediately tossed at us. Although a lady took our drink order, we were neglected for over 40 minutes as the two employees walked past us repeatedly. Even though our menus were stacked neatly to indicate our readiness to order, we had to flag the lady down to place our food order. She did not even apologize for forgetting us. The food arrived after 20 minutes, but no one came to check on us. We could pay promptly, thanks to the lady who ran our card and picked up on our hint that we wanted to leave. A nearby table also requested their check when they saw us cash out. We advise that if you do not have ample time or are not ready for a leisurely dining experience, do not visit this establishment. Additionally, we were disappointed that the restaurant did not offer wine despite there being bottles displayed and that the lady was unaware of what condiments her establishment had to offer.

Folks! Get yourselves down here!! This is the only place I'm aware of anywhere in 10+ miles to have a truly elevated dinner experience. The food isn't just good or delicious, it's unforgettable. I don't feel that way often... We opted for the app, entree and dessert meals (great value) and the creme brulee is in a class of it's own. Please, for the sake of keeping such a classy and cozy restaurant here in town, please go try this place out ASAP.

Hazel’s on Main is cozy and friendly. Food is top notch. You know, one of those meals where you want to go back again the very next day?! Extensive wine list of local wines. (And a good brew selection and interesting cocktails). Owner Nancy makes everyone feel welcome. We could not be happier with our experience.

We had our Circle of Friends meeting there and was treated with tastes of their Gumbo soup, Moroccan Beets salad and last of all their Jambalaya Linguini. We all agreed that all if these dishes really tasted fantastic!! We highly recommend you come on down and try any one of these dishes or even more try other dishes on their menu. They also have a very good variety of our local wines too.

My husband & I decided to treat ourselves to a date at Hazel’s and we had such a great time! We ordered the Jambalaya Linguini and the Stuffed Peppers. They were both so good with savory flavors! For dessert we ordered the Creme Brûlée & Beignets. The Crème Brûlée had such a wonderful flavor and the Beignets were wonderfully fluffy with a very good sauce. The chef came out and shared about the influences of his dishes and was very kind. We were very happy that we had our date there and plan to go back!

My wife and I had never been in, so we gave it a try. Nice, cozy space with friendly service. Tasty food and a good selection of wines, plus there was a wine tasting going on. Definitely plan to return.
