Maybe my timing was off but they were cleaning the fryer on a Friday evening…so had to eat my burger without fries. Maybe I missed out on the full effect of my meal, I’ll never know. No fountain drinks sold here, only bottled drinks, which they had a decent selection. I had the green chili cheese burger which was delicious with my Orange Crush. Tacos were a bit dry, especially the chicken ones. The elote was good. It is a little tight quarters inside for seating and the stools were not comfortable. Outside eating is much better but it was too cold, so we settled on eating in the warmth. All in all, I could see myself swinging in again for a burger to go. I think the burgers are the way to go here.

This is a hip little burger joint. The guy behind the counter was really personable and informative. He recommended the green chile cheeseburger. It was absolutely delicious! It was a little small, but really good. I could’ve eaten two of them. The french fries were good and crunchy. Ordered the All-American Cheese Burger and it was exactly what I needed. Solid meal along with French fries that were cooked to a seasoned crunch. Simple menu, courteous staff, and clean dining area. My son and I came here looking for a good burger, and we were not let down. This is the first time I have been here, and we will definitely be back. I ordered the American burger because I wanted to experience a traditional cheeseburger to see if their burger was really as good as advertised. The burger was extremely good and had that great beef flavor that most burger places have lost. My son got the chili burger, and he was not disappointed either. The burger itself was very good, and then you add some hatch green chili and regular beef and bean chili, and it was fantastic! He said it was extremely good and the burger and chili went well together. We started looking for an entirely different burger place and decided to come here and give it a try, and boy, were we glad we did! Stopped here with my wife and a friend on the way back home to Phoenix from the Grand Canyon. Excellent food and perfect environment. All of our food was made fresh, and right there in front of us, "DELICIOUS" I Was told it gets pretty busy during the night bar hours, but it was nice and calm enough for us to finish all of our food. This is the very best of Flagstaff rolled into one place. Every item of food on the menu has been carefully selected to represent the culture and authentic taste of Flag. This restaurant was built by a local who grew up with a love and respect for the food and people of this city. When Chaz was given the opportunity to take a risk building his perfect spot for those Hankerin' for the right food, no matter the time of day, he hit it out of the park. Those who know anything about the native culture of the hatch green Chile, know that you don't step lightly into making a green Chile burger in these parts. Messing that up would quickly have the locals up in arms with spatulas beating you out of town. The green Chile burger at Hankerin' is the absolute best of the best. The flavors, all the way down to the bun, come together in a perfection of flavor your palette will force you to return for. The green chillies and home-made chilli are extravagant together. The steak fries are out of this world. No words. Just buy them. The tacos and elote are a favorite to feast your eyes upon as it is prepared before you. It's sure to have you salivating before you even take a bite. Knowing that this place also supports the local school and charities is like dining with purpose. If I could only go into one restaurant in Flagstaff for the rest of my life, this is the one. Every morsel was delicious. We wanted burgers "made by people" right at the grill. She got the basic burger and I got the green chili. We were both so happy as they just nailed. (Get the fry bread.) This place is awesome. My boyfriend and I went here for the first time the other night and it was great! The staff were very nice and friendly and the food tasted wonderful. I forget exactly what it was called, but I got this Chicken cheese chipotle burger and it was suuuper good. The shredded chicken used as the patty was so soft, moist and tender. The chipotle sauce was very mild in spice but still very flavorful, and the buns were soft and buttery. A little messy to eat, but that's just the nature of the type of thing I got and it didn't upset me at all. It was fun. The fries were particularly noteworthy. They were the perfect balance of soft and fluffy on the inside with a wonderfully light, crispy outside. The atmosphere was very cozy and I enjoyed chatting up the staff when they had a bit of time to do so. We got dessert from here because we wanted to try traditional fry bread. They make a dessert version with honey and powdered sugar, and was a great value at $3.25 for a dinner plate size fry bread.
