The carrot cake...my goodness. I don't know the woman's name, but we would have bought the whole cake if we could. Her daughter--who was just as lovely confessed that others have bought the whole cake (and they should)--totally worth the 2hr drive. The coffee? It was good--solid, and the vista of the place fantastic, but I wonder if it would be worth clarifying what's available when so that a visitor can plan better. It's a long trip...and we thought there might be lunch items (like we saw in pics?) but maybe that's just a Saturday thing? This place is so beautiful and historically/culturally relevant that I feel like I missed out on some cool things because I missed information and planned incorrectly. The family that owns this is full of love and it is clear on their food, coffee, and atmosphere. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us. Highly recommend the stuffed meat with mofongo, the pork with mashed mofongo, and the flan.
