Food is excellent, service was good. The retro 50s aesthetic is fun but when we went in there was absolutely no music at all. It was uncomfortably silent which was somewhat awkward, it felt like everyone in the dining room was part of our conversation. What was slightly worse was that it didn't feel totally clean. There were leftover straw rappers and used napkins on the floor under our table which was really unappetizing, though the food was all very good. Gus’ Diner is a traditional diner experience that really nails it. The food is good, the prices are reasonable and the experience is legit. You’ll forget you’re in a mall parking lot in the 2020s. The breakfast was good. Large portions and it seems most meals come with a couple sides. Good price as well. The eggs Benedict has a thick piece of ham which was perfect. I would definitely upgrade the hash browns to the corned beef hash. Service was very good, attentive and food came quick. It was pretty full at 10a on a Sunday. I'd go back. Went during peak time. Noon Sunday. Nice and fast service. Food came pretty quick. Expected diner atmosphere/experience. Seasoning is on the lighter side so add salt and pepper on your own. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The restaurant is what you would expect from a throwback diner. And no lies from the other reviews - portions are huge. Had the clam chowder, and I think I got a quart sized bowl. The chowder was pretty good - definitely not from a can. The perch was 8-10" in size with a flaky yet not greazy breading. Very enjoyable place! Everything was awesome! Got seated right away even though it was the lunch rush. Service was prompt and friendly. The table had chicken noodle soup with home made egg noodle, coleslaw (crunchy and creamy!), Curd burger, Buffalo chicken wrap, Turkey club and a cheese burger. It was everything you expect from a diner and now I'm kicking myself for not getting pie on my way out the door. Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Burger
Awesome little retro themed diner with checkered floors with a jukebox’s and all! We ordered the home style French toast with some coffee. The service was great and prompt. The waiter and waitress refilled our coffee and water several times while there. Great little spot to enjoy some breakfast anytime of the day! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

Wow. What a let down. I’ve wanted to go here for a few years and finally decided to after a co-worker said it was “so good”. I ordered Country friend chicken with hash browns (and cheese on it), over easy eggs and toast. My partner ordered Crepes. The “boy” we had as a waiter was really a boy. I’m pretty sure he was going through puberty, which would be ok, if he actually knew anything and could handle the job. He really needed to brush up on his menu skills and maybe what size box we needed instead of asking first timers what WE NEEDED. All I can say about this place is Canned, microwave, can and more microwave. My country fried chicken tasted literally like a can. I’ve never had bad country fried chicken. I really wasn’t sure what mystery meat I was eating. And the gravy was the thinnest looking gravy I have ever had. It had like these little round things in it that I’ll assume wasn’t hot dogs, but very well tasted like it. Seriously I’ve never had bad country fried Chicken! And the gravy is always a thick southern delight. My dining partner said “can”. I said. “Really bad can” 🤦🏼‍♀️. My hash browns didn’t have cheese on it and I sent it back. They tasted ok. Eggs were ok. How can you mess an egg though??! I was so dissatisfied with my chicken and the horrid can taste, I kind of didn’t care to eat at that point. My friend had crepes and after trying to figure out what she could get inside of them, she opted for strawberries and bananas. I saw her going crazy with the powder sugar jar after they were delivered and quietly asked how it was. She said Oh so Bland!!!We were both disappointed in our meal esp after our co worker said how great it was. We then spotted some good looking pie, which we should of ate for our meal, but we quickly declined, wanting to go home. Man I just forgot about our cheese curds. They were the best thing we had!!A little thick and chewy, but eatable. This place really is not worth the time. To be fair, we have only ate at GUS once, but I doubt I will be back.
