While I was not happy that a single chicken thigh cost 5 dollars at the newly renovated Guernsey, I have to admit it was delicious. I also had a side of sweet potato fries for just under 4 dollars. The pic below represents my 12 dollar meal (includes 3 dollar tip).
I used to frequent the restaurant when salad, roll, and a scoop of ice cream were included, so these new prices were a big shock to me. I can say that I won't be back simply because I can get a lot more food for that money elsewhere.
As an avid milk drinker all my life here in S. East MI, today was my first time going there in person! It was just what I expected and more! Everything was delicious! We left with 2 gallons of ice cream and milk!! Of course chocolate milk too! Our server Rose made it great!! She was right on top of that! Def will make future visits!!
Every time I've been here, the staff has been amazing and kind. We will continue to buy all our milk and ice cream from here; it's to die for. The chocolate milk has to be the best I've ever had. And the prices are great! Hope to come back soon to try eating in the restaurant!

The steak sandwich with loaded fries was delicious! Gotta finish the meal with a scoop of their famous ice-cream for the perfect night out. This was the first time I had been back since they renovated and the restaurant and menu was very nice!

Love the fresh ice cream and garden outside. My favorite is the lavender honey flavor. Have yet to try their food/ coffee or handmade waffles but I'd love to try sometime!

It had been years since I last visited Guernsey Farms Dairy. I did not expect to see Detroit Style Pizza on the menu alongside their mainstays like fried chicken and French onion dip. The pizza was excellent. The crust was slightly sweet, dense, chewy, & had a good crunch, then there was spicy sauce & old style pepperoni with lots of cheese on top. Nashville Hot Chicken was perfectly cooked but if you like spicy, ask for extra hot. Their base version is pretty much mild. The biscuits are brilliant with lots of buttery, flaky layers. Start your meal with fried dill pickle chips & French onion dip with homemade chips. Service was wonderful too.

To start off; the smell when you walk into this place is absolutely divine. I’m assuming it’s the smell of the waffle cones being made. To the left is the ice cream portion of the store where you can order ice cream to go or dine in and to the right is the dining area for actual food. I went on a Saturday and the wait time was about 30 minutes. The dining area was smaller than I expected, I could tell they were short-started but the waitresses were very attentive. For my appetizer, I had their freshly made onion dip that came with their homemade chips, which was great. My entree was their fried chicken and it was honestly some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. I also had their biscuits which come with this honey butter. The biscuits were amazing, but the honey butter really took them to the next level. I’m not a huge biscuit fan, but they were great. Guernseys is also famous for their beverages, including their chocolate milk and their lemonade, which happens to be the official lemonade of Mackinac Island. Both were great!
The menu isn’t huge, but there’s definitely something for everyone. Appetizers, chicken, sandwiches, burgers and more. When you’re done eating, be sure to check out the dairy store for your ice cream and beverages to take home. I recommend the lemon custard. Amazing!

Ice Cream Cone
Upon researching for a unique place to eat in Novi/Northville, MI after a day of shopping, we spotted Guernsey Farms Dairy for dinner. I've never seen a local dairy restaurant/bar combination, but I'll give this place a try. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. We were quite hungry; she suggested the full 8 piece order of their famous buttermilk Fried Chicken. The chicken pieces were fried to perfection (golden, brown, and delicious) on the outside and juicy and succulent inside. Our sides were just as tasty and complemented the chicken well. In fact, the braised mushrooms were buttery and velvety. For Dessert, we indulged in a Banana Split. Very nice high-quality ice cream (wow! the milk fat is for REAL) from local cows. I highly recommend dining here. (And don't forget to get a gallon of milk from here as well!!!)

Good family fun. Best ice cream around and you get to take some home. Small menu, but food’s pretty good if you like spicy Nashville chicken. Could use a few more smoked bbq options. It would fit the menu well.

Very nice place, seemed like over 50 flavors to choose from. Hard serve!!! And waffle cones!! Wait in line to order and plenty of seating in and outside.
They also have gallons of milk for sale and different size pre made ice cream containers.
