The waitstaff was great, the decor was very cool and the food was the best we had in Texas! The regional take on their chicken fried stake blew me away! So good!! Great burgers too! Best chicken fry and excellent service. This is the kind of place you go for a good hardy, cooked with love kinda meal. The sampler chicken fry with a sweet potato is my go to because you get all the goodness! I highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed!! So good! The wait was long, but worth it. The plates were big; I shared my green chili chicken fried steak comfortably. We asked for extra gravy and server brought a whole plate of it for the table- very generous! The fried pecan pie was incredible; such a good blend of salty and sweet! Going to go with 5 stars here, for this place is exactly as advertised. Perfect chicken-fried steak and fried chicken plates. Gravies on point, whether infused with jalapeno or green chile or straight. Old school burgers packing taste and not overcooked. Service is always excellent, even when the place is fully packed. HUGE portions. Highly recommend the green chili cheese fries and the banana pudding. My daughter and I could have spilt the fries, had pudding and been fine. We ended up taking our sandwiches home. Good ice tea too. I believe our waitress was Jamie. She was AMAZING!!! Our 1 and only complaint would be that it was pretty Chilly inside. Other than that, great visit! I really enjoyed my meal here !! Table service was friendly and fun. The bacon green chile cheeseburger was incredible !! Thick slices of bacon and whole green chile dressed however you like it with a soft fresh bun and a fresh grilled patty. My belly is growling now just thinking about it. That and those onion rings would have been a perfect meal. I had to try their green chile Mac and cheese and a chicken fried steak too though… I was so stuffed !! I’m happy our waitress insisted that we try the fried pecan pie too …. Wow !! It’s not often that I find a restaurant that just seems to do everything right. I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take a picture.! I had the green chili Willy's chicken fried chicken, corn, and mac n cheese. The only thing I can say is that I immediately wanted to plan my next visit! The chicken was so tender and juicy, loaded with green chili flavor! I loved it! The sides were equally delicious. I need more! But I'll have to wait until I visit Amarillo again. So good!!! I don’t get the hype. Tried their green chile chicken fried chicken, and the chicken was dry. I chose the hand cut french fries and mac and cheese as my sides. The fries were cold and soggy and not salted or seasoned. The mac and cheese was decent. The plate also came with a piece of bread. Great little gem that is semi hidden. I NEVER even noticed ther place until a friend took me there. If you like good comfort food then this place is somewhere you should try. I have Maggie's chicken fried steak and it was delicious. You can either make chicken fried steak or you can't, these guys can. Loved their gravy as well.
