Had the most wonderful dinner with my Dad here. We both like to draw, so having crayons and being able to make some art on the back of the kids menu was so fun. The atmosphere is very cosy, and they had tea with honey which I really enjoyed. They have booths and bar seating, and marble accents which makes for a nice atmosphere. I had the pesto farro which was really tasty. My dad had a French dish with chicken and vegetables in broth that was really beautiful. I ate his carrots. Beautiful public atmosphere and gorgeous downtown Mill Valley. We ordered the French dip sandwiches and the waiter seemed distressed when I asked instead of getting a regular side salad which comes with it if I could just have that be a Caesar salad that was unusual for restaurant of this quality and price to not be able to substitute that end. Then he returned to the table and said there would be an additional two dollar fee for the anchovies because of the Caesar salad so I said that was fine although I did find that unusual as well. Then they brought the salad which was tiny, and had no anchovies in it. We had to ask for the anchovies which were brought separately and not mixed into the salad. the roast beef sandwich was delicious and the french fries that my friend got were delicious and we ordered onion sticks to go as a side with us and it was just OK. Just seems like if they could’ve accommodated the side salad then we would’ve had a lovely time, but it felt like it was a lot of nonsense about anchovies and substituting a Caesar for a regularsalad which is not that complicated especially in a town that wants you to give them gluten-free and vegetarian and keto and OCTO and all the other types and they’re available for all of that, but not to switch out a side salad for a side Caesar salad, that was disappointing Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

I would say stick to basics like burger/fries and don’t order fish or anything “fancy” as those items looked appetizing but were ultimately flavorless. Service was not good but we went during off hours, so who knows. Was really surprised by all the good reviews so maybe it’s worth a shot? Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

One of the most enjoyable dinners of our vacation, we really liked the comfortable seating near the deck, and that the music was playing at low enough level my wife and I could carry on conversation. Service was great, the popovers were delicious, and our meals were both excellent. My burger was cooked perfectly, and super delish!
