Everything about this place was great except for one server who had a bad attitude. The lady tending bar was super nice though and made up for it. She was slinging some delicious cocktails! Note: Reservations required at night and 2 hr table limits. Came with friends for drinks during our stay in Alameda. Drinks are fairly priced, but were too sour for my taste. I was a bartender for almost a decade so maybe I’m too picky, but a lot of the cocktails I got lacked the balance I expect from tiki drinks. The drinks here are so delicious! We really enjoyed having a couple drinks here the other night. I would definitely recommend everyone to try it. I had the Forbidden Island signature cocktail and the Pina colada with almond liquor. Both were so flavorful and mixed so well! Love Forbidden Island! Such a hidden gem. The atmosphere is super fun and whimsical inside, and I can't wait to come back during hotter weather to sit out on their patio. I love this place because their drinks are delicious, without compromising on the alcohol content. The Rum Barrel and Arrow in the Knee drinks are some of my favorites - super strong, but tasty also! Woooo what an ambiance. Lovely place. Small but cute. Do reservations before you go otherwise getting a table will be difficult since it's always full. Loved their drink menu and many options. My favorite was Chi Chi. The side food was good to Guatemala with chips that were so fresh and the fries were very crispy. The service was not that great since . Posted a review already. Just incase it didn't show I will do it again:) My husband found this little place while I was on a travel nurse assignment. It is a fun and quirky place. Both indoor and outdoor seating, large variety of fun tiki drinks, small bites menu. They were setting up for a DJ. You can do a walk-in, but reservations are highly recommended.
