Very decent little local bar in town I used to frequent. Last time I went there I had to keep a tab open by giving the bartender my debit card. No problem BUT I made it clear I was paying with cash. At the end of the night I paid cash and then they ran my card on accident. I spoke to the girls at the bar and they very kindly refunded my money. They asked me to give it 2-3 business days to show back up on my card statement. I waited a week and the money never came back to my card. I called the bar and spoke with the owner. I explained to him the situation to which his response was, "this happens all the time." Ok, so train your people better then. I am not going to pay double the price for your mistake. Long story short, I paid $120.00 for a $60.00 tab. The owner offered me a $30.00 credit for my trouble. I was not a "regular" but I typically was there once a week after work. Not anymore. Cheers. As a former CCSU alum, the only thing I did at Elmer's was drink cheap beer. Got crazy busy on Thur/Fri/Sat nights. Definitely a college dive bar. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Cool dive bar near a state college. Was in town for work and this is where I stopped for a drink one day. Service was great. Drinks were poured a little light (my doubles were what I’d expect from a dive bar single) but overall no actual complaints. Would definitely go back again. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered through door dash and the chicken was rubbery. Not to mention I got honey barbecue wings and I got plain. I ate 1 wing with my own bbq sauce and ordered from somewhere else. Elmers dropped the ball big time. Food: 1 Service: 1

STAY AWAY! they let underage people in CONSTANTLY and it has effected my life PERMANENTLY! The charges brought against me started at ELMERS cause they love having children there ❤️❤️❤️ Look how disrespectful their reply is. They always treat the customers horribly and when something doesn’t go right for them, they write horrible things about you. For 4 months straight you have been getting bad reviews and I see no room for improvement. The owners and managers are down bad and they allow underage clients there because business isnt good. If you press “reviews, sort, Newest” you’ll see what I mean. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $100+

Love this place. There is a lot of regulars there, it’s a vibe. There’s two pool tables and two beer pong tables. They have music on at all times and you can play your own music via TouchTunes to hear your favorites. When the weather is nice there is corn hole outside with tables. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Sometimes they have events like karaoke and themed nights. Very reasonable pricing as there is a college campus around the corner. Nice place to go and unwind after a crazy work schedule or just to hang out. Great spot to meet up with friends. Some of my greatest memories were made here

Growing up in the area and having my family going to elmers since the 80s - I can say it's finally going under Disappointed with the new bartenders. They've been really rude and have made it evident that they really don't care. The staff is no longer fun to talk to or sociable, just there to take your money. The owner is incredible. He works so hard to keep it clean He's hired some great people that really take care of you. I always have fun and there's so much to do there, never boring. That's what you want when you get out. If you're older like me, go there at 3 til 9, then the college kids come in. Which is fun to watch........
