Churrasco Con Bifongo Y Ensalada
This place was recommended highly by a local, and it didn't disappoint. It's a cross between a sports bar and a deli, with an long list of signature sandwiches and standard Puerto Rican plates, plus beer, sangria and cocktails.
Our experience began as we drove up and were greeted in the road by what I can only describe as the maitre d'. He looked over our car and then directed us into the nearest parking place, acting as guide and cheerleader as I wedged the car into the space without mishap.
Our young waiter was prompt and courteous, and ran back and forth through the busy restaurant, seeing to all his tables with a smile. The music is loud, the dining room is open to the road on one side, and there are fans moving the air all over. It's not a wind tunnel, or uncomfortable, just enough that no insect would dare venture in, and the humidity is kept at bay.
My traditional mojito was tangy and minty, with a pleasant kick. My husband's pina colada was everything you expect, with sprinkles on top!
I had the carne frita with a green salad, and the pork was well seasoned and flavorful, but a bit dry - which the generous bottle of aioli took care of. My husband's chicharonnes de mero were to die for! Perfectly crispy outside and sweet and tender inside - perfectly cooked! All of which was too much to eat, so we had enough for lunch, too.

Hay que esperar como en todo lugar pero las porciones las han disminuido. Los chicharrones al inicio todo expectacular y las últimas tres veces que he comprado me dan pedaceria de chicharrones que saben a grasa. Realmente deben mejorar la forma y volver a realizar el plato conscientes del cliente aunque sea para llevar y el cliente abra el plato en su casa. Espero acepten la recomendación y la apliquen para que continuen progresando. El problema esta en las ordenes para llevar.
