It’s absolutely insane to have people waiting in your drive thru for 30 minutes at 6 AM, and not even address it, apologize,…. Once in the drive thru , you cannot leave. You’re trapped - and for 30 minutes? 5 min is too long for a drive thru the majority of the time. At the very least you should be apologizing for holding people hostage and acknowledge how crazy it is to be this slow and behind. A bit of acknowledgement can go a long way.
