Food was absolutely the best we've had in a very long time.. Our waitress was so friendly, attentive and right there when we needed anything.. We tried the Dungeness Crab Alfredo, 2lbs of steamer clams and Marionberry Cobbler.. All amazingly delicious.. Wonderful clear gf options. Oysters cod both pan fried gf amazing. I’m so so impressed with how seriously they take degrees of gluten sensitivity to educate and offer a huge array of options for everyone. Even their apple crisp and marionberry cobbler are gf and dairy free. I’m so impressed!!! Delicious. Great service. I’ driving two hours to come back next week. Omg. Run don’t walk here. Cute little informal restaurant, family run. No frills, but friendly staff. We went to Drop Anchor after experiencing horrible service at another restaurant in town, and were happy to receive good service and find the elusive crab cakes we were searching for. Crab cakes are amazing, crispy on the outside and soft and delicious full of crab on the inside. Spanish coffee (pic) is also pretty impressive. Too full to enjoy the delicious dessert menu. It’s all fun until the bill comes, right? Service was great, very nice. I was confused by the pricing on the receipt. Combo says $30 for the light but then the break down comes to $28 with the salad. When ordered, I was asked what dressing I wanted, then I was asked what side I wanted. I asked if the chowder was GF safe, was told yes but not that it was extra. At no point was I told that the price would be different. Mimosas were great and I took the apple cobbler to go. Again. Staff was very kind. It’s just the pricing that idk if I’ll be back for. I left feeling disappointed and confused. I wouldn’t have ordered the salad or the chowder if I knew it was extra. I really only ate the shrimp off the salad and ate about half the chowder because of how bacon heavy it was. If you like Bacon Clam Chowder, go here tho. This was the best experience we had at a restaurant during our 5 days at the beach. Cindy was our sweet and kind waitress whose service went above and beyond. The food was amazing. I can’t think of one negative thought about this place! Pricing very reasonable! The store was clean, the bathrooms were clean and our sever had the best attitude! She was knowledgeable about the menu to help us order what we wanted effectively, was quick with our salads and drinks! Our food came out nice and hot! EVEN THE WATER was delicious! We ate twice here on our stay at nearby Cape Disappointment state park, once as weary travellers prior to campsite check in, and a second time when we craved their food. Both times we shared a bowl of clam chowder and a salmon burger with fries. We experienced excellent service and fine food at this seafood-focused diner.
