Same old same old. That’s why we come back. It’s taco time mfs. I ate 12. Way too much. I felt the pain all day after I left. Finally able to eat again about 9 hrs later. Great environment. You might try to eat it all, but I soggiest going back a few times and trying it all on separate occasions. The tacos are as good as they get, and the chili is famous for a reason. When the waitress said “if you’ve never had this you’re in for a treat”, she was not joking! Claim being made: Best chili on, near, around or within a few hundred miles of the Missouri River! We have eaten at this restaurant for 35 years. The wait staff is always courteous and prompt with service. The food has changed a bit over the years and the staff. We enjoy the 'all you can eat' tacos that's available every day. Once in a while, I give in and eat chili. Seat yourself and enjoy! Michelin star service for a family diner price. I didn't know what to expect when I went to the parlor, but I was pleasantly surprised to be treated as if I was a guest at a fine dining establishment. My host went above and beyond to make sure that I was completely happy. That included giving me a presention of the chili, as if it were art. The chili was quite tasty and highly customizable. A spectacular eatery and historical landmark of KC since 1916! What a pleasure to eat here once again! Just off the path of I-70 hwy but in a "rough area!" The food is as it always has been, WONDERFUL! As the name says, they're known for their chili 😋, but don't pass up a great hamburger, hotdog, or tacos! The staff is friendly, the facility is as clean as it's ever been! Grab a table or sit at the counter, and enjoy an old school meal with cheap prices! This was our first time,but won't be our last! I just got the chili, now when I goe back will try the hamburger and then tacos(which is all you can eat all day everyday!) You build your own chili and add fixings you like we chose beans and meat Juicy(which is meat juice) you add more chili powder to your liking, I asked for sour cream,cheese,and onions and there was plenty of each!! Also had jarred peepers with vinegar in each table for a little more spice, we were in and out in no time and forgot about being busy for lunch but still got our food really fast! We will definitely have to put this on our rotation of places we regularly visit! We were so excited to try this place out. Restaurant is very clean. Very busy! We weren’t impressed with the tacos or their famous chili. The supreme burrito was pretty tasty and very LARGE! The main reason we love this place is their New Orleans style tamales! OMG! We buy 2 dozen for carry out occasionally. They do not disappoint. We love them plain!
