Usually Dave's in Chelmsford is super busy but this time I ordered pick up on a Monday evening and it was super quick getting in and out. I ordered the Hot, Extra Hot, and Reaper tenders with a side of coleslaw and the Reaper did not disappoint! Please be warned, the Hot and Extra Hot are already very very hot for the average spice lover. But if you are a true spice head like me, the Reaper will give you that hardcore burn that you crave. The chicken is cooked perfectly and heavily coated with a dry rub, which I was not expecting. The dry rub compared to the sauce dredge was a really nice touch. Chicken was crispy and flavorful. Coleslaw was a nice side. Service was fast and friendly. Vibe inside is chill and fun, especially when it isn't packed. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Went New Years Day with the fiancé. First time in and we'll definitely be back. The chicken was very tender and juicy, and we loved that they offer honey on the side! Compared to other Dave’s Hots, which I love, I’ve had Chelmsford twice now, and both times left me disappointed. Smaller portion sizes (see pic of the cauliflower tender. $7 for 3 bites 💀), the chicken is overcooked and doesn’t have any moisture left in it. The spicing is uneven on the chicken, some bites felt like they didn’t have any spice. Last time I get anything from this location, make the drive to another location if you’re craving it. Absolutely the best place to eat in 2024. If you don't at least stop by this location you'll be upset about it for years to come. The chicken is hot, and the atmosphere is electric. Big fan of Dave’s and a regular customer but I was unfortunately extremely disappointed when I bit into my sandwich last weekend and found a huge BONE in the boneless chicken (as you can clearly see in my picture posted). When I unexpectedly bit into the bone it cracked my tooth and cut the inside of my cheek pretty bad, which obviously upset me rightfully so. I tried to follow up with them on the feedback requests they email to you after every order and I thoroughly explained what had happened to me but I have gotten ZERO response on the matter which was very disheartening as I truly love the food here. To say I have been let down would be an extreme understatement.

The chicken has a very light breading and is fried. You can pick different levels of flavor/heat. The chicken was very tender and juicy. The fries were crispy and good. It comes with a sauce to dip in. It is also very tasty. They should give you more. The place was clean. The place was clean. It is small and there is not a ton of seating. Waited about 20-30 minutes for my food... but I will say, it was well worth it imo. The chicken tenders are seasoned, super moist, and huge. I got full off just one slider alone. Fries were seasoned perfectly! I wish I got a milkshake but I will definitely try on my next visit. I can see the hype about this place. The establishment itself is super clean and well organized, lots of seating inside and some tables outside. Bought into the commercials and the hype but I was very let down. I ordered the #1 hot, with fries and a side of kale slaw. Slaw and fries here good. I expected way more out of the chicken. First off, it was crispy and that part was good. The chicken was kinda rubbery, not sure why that was. As for heat, that was totally missing. There really wasn’t much flavor at all. ✨ HOLY HELL ✨ Today my mouth experienced @daveshotchicken and my life will never be the same. I had the chicken slider which was huge and their perfectly cooked fries. Everything made from scratch. There was almost a line out the door and what was most impressive was seeing the staff run like a well oiled machine on their second day open. I didn’t wait for more than 10 minutes for my order.
