Went with friends - my second visit in 3 nights. Dakotah was the perfect atmosphere for having an unforgettable evening. Service was amazing, food was astounding: Three Sisters Soup was perfect, Prime Rib was delectable cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had dessert this time and boy am I glad I did. Kuchen is South Dakota's play on creme brulee and was fantastic! Next time I'm in Rapid City I'm stopping back in. I most highly recommend Dakotah Steakhouse! Took my food goblin of a wife here for her birthday. She absolutely loved everything she ordered, and I did as well! Our server was awesome, very energetic, in a good way. My wife ordered the Elk Ravioli and creme brule. I ordered a Buffalo/bison ribeye steak, and got some Wojapi (pronounced WAH-HOP-E for the layman) with some blueberry sauce for desert. We each also got a side salad with house dressing. Which were amazing as well. The prices are not as extreme as some places (especially with inflation driving costs up everywhere), but we did spend nearly $150 with tip. This included a beer and cocktail too though. This restaurant is excellent. The preparation of our dinner was perfect. We had Cowboy Bone, it was well worth the price. Veggies were delicious nice to have green tender crisp vegetables. We were so pleased the first night we went again the next evening. Had prime rib, tender and prepared as requested. Both nights our servers were professional, polite and presented themselves well, friendly but not intrusive. The music was played at the right volume. You could talk with each other without shouting plus enjoyed the music. You won't be disappointed. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We chose Dakotah Steakhouse because of the reviews and proximity to our hotel and it was amazing! Our server was so friendly and provided excellent service. The atmosphere is upscale but rustic - it’s a beautiful restaurant. The food was outstanding! We got the walleye fingers as an appetizer and they were super crispy and flaky - really good! I got the prime rib with loaded baked potato and chicken noodle soup. My husband got the ribeye with salad and loaded baked potato. We also enjoyed a nice bottle of wine. We had to try dessert - we had the crème brûlée and the Indian Fry Bread sundae. It was all so delicious. We left stuffed and very happy, haha! 10/10 recommend!

The best meal we have had while on vacation. Our server, Sara, was super awesome and attentive. I got a ceasar salad for starters and my wife got the squash soup. Both items were good. We got the onion rings which were crispy and delicious. I got the bison rib eye and my spouse got the Takanka Filet. Both steaks were done to perfection....I was a little jealous as her steak was wrapped with a smoked hickory bacon which gave it a fantastic flavor. We were so full we didn't even order dessert or eat the bread. I can't say enough about the service.... there had just been a tour bus there and everyone we encountered were super friendly even though they were just slammed and it was towards the end of their night. When in the area I would recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

TL:DR - Great steak, nice atmosphere, but overall not to the level I was expecting. My wife and I stopped in because we had heard great things about this restaurant. Service was very good. Our server was friendly, a bit over the top, but kind of in an endearing way. Not particularly annoying. The food was good. Specifically the meat over the other items. I don't think the steak was better than other places I've been, but it was very good. The house salads were okay. Just chopped up iceberg lettuce with a few other veggies. The fry bread was good, but more oily than I've had at other locations and I think they advertise the butter as being flavored but it tasted like plain whipped butter to me. The sides that come with the steaks taste good, but there's just something missing. I think you'll notice in the pictures. Ultimately I was expecting more for the price. This was a wonderful experience. Our server Emily was a gem sand very knowledgeable. The food was amazing! Steaks were perfection, soups were sooo flavorful, and I could have eaten a basket of the fry bread! Our only disappointment was we were too full for dessert. We had the strip steak and the dueling tournedos. Soups were the 3 sisters and beef & broccoli. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a great meal last night but our server was a bit distracted. Sara was trying her best but she told us two times she was working on her side work and forgot to come back to our table. Our filet, baked potatoes and carrots were delecious. The bread and butter was also very tasty. All in all it was a nice dinner even though our server want as attentive to us as we expect from a place of business such as this Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
