Edit trip 2 We had the fried pork chop meal. It was to die for very very tasty it comes with 2 pork chops unless you specify 1. It worth getting the 2 and taking home the extra one!!! Trip 1 Great atmosphere and service.. the food was ok I would definitely go back and give it another try. I had a cheese steak and hubby had the po'boy shrimp and some bomb green beans. Extremely fresh local fare featuring a large menu of Southern comfort foods. Ordered the grilled pork chop meal with mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak meal with mashed potatoes, and bread pudding. Everything was scrumptious! Ordered two Philly Cheesesteaks to-go before I left. Staff was social & gave great suggestions. Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My cousin and I dined here on our way back home and the food was yummy. Well cooked and seasoned but not overly so. It was busy, only 3 tables available in the entire restaurant. Even still the young lady who took our order was pleasant and just attentive enough, not hovering. Server and kitchen staff had non problem substituting the fries with onion rings (AFTER I placed my order in a moment of indecisiveness). This is definitely a local restaurant in Waveland Mississippi. You know when you pull in the parking lot and it is packed that they are offering. Great food and good atmosphere good times. It is a restaurant that offers you home cooking. They have daily lunch specials, fresh sweet, and unsweet tea. They offer very good food at great prices. The staff is friendly the restaurant is clean that beautiful murals on the walls. ordered their chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and veggie . You get your choice of brown or white gravy it was very good. Also tried an open face roast beef with mashed potatoes and corn. It was also very tasty. Lunch portions are decent size! Bathroom was clean parking lot was clean. You can call them and order ahead if you want to do takeout…Definitely a little local place to stop in check out. The best food and the service is outstanding. Everything we've ever ate her has be delicious. We had the hamburger steak and gravy with potatoes and corn and a roll. Outstanding job. Really good spot in Waveland. My family and I stopped in while coming back from the Silver Slipper. Too bad they were out of red beans, but the fried pork chop was fantastic! Very good southern home cooking. Very affordable prices for the quality and amount of food. Pretty busy when I went there on a Tuesday for lunch. Daily specials, everyday specials, and a full menu.
