I visited the Cracker Barrel in Bardstown, KY while traveling home for work. Theu were fairly busy but I was immediately sat. The host and waitress were very polite. It wasn't terribly busy! Food was very good! One of the only Cracker Barrels that we know of that still serves real grits instead of instant ones LOL! Service was wonderful! Our waitress was very friendly and cooperative providing great service. The food was good but not great as it usually is when we eat at Cracker Barrel. Seemed like the food had been setting for a while and was not hot. I love Cracker Barrel and this food was good but not as great and freshly prepared like I usually receive. The food was the same great food as always. Our server, I cannot remember her name, was very good, so sweet, and kept our drinks refilled. She even brought some cards that we left on the table to us at the checkout counter. We loved her! Service was the best I have had on a very long time at any restaurant. Myself, my daughter and my 2 grandchildren were there for dinner. The guy who waited on us was very attentive. We will never go back. This is the second time I have taken my family there. Both times our wait for the food we ordered was horrible. And it came to our table Ice cold. The mash potatoes were hard as a rock they were soo cold. The green beans were cold and the portion was tiny.Even the gravy was cold. My sons order was wrong and missing half the chicken. The waitresses informed us that his other piece of chicken was coming.Really. we wait a hour and the place wasn't even busy. My youngest son's eggs were ice cold and I could have used them for tires they were so rubbery. Save yourself time and money. Skip this place at all cost. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
