I come for trivia most Mondays. Food is good and lots of beer options. The owner is very welcoming.

The food was excellent but the waitress was very rude. She treated us as if we didn’t belong there. My dad used to take me to the hub bar every weekend growing up as a kid. He passed away at 60 years old in 2009 and I haven’t been in here since as it was hard. But the way it is now, I am not impressed and my father wouldn’t be either.. the food was great so thank you to the cooks! Nicer younger waitresses would be a great idea.. Had a great meal at Coonan's. Everything we had was delicious. Guiness stew is perfect! Service was excellent and the owner came by our table to see how we liked the place. Highly recommend. We will be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A great local pub and restaurant run by Kim Coonan himself. Kim shops for the ingredients for his homemade soups everyday at Jack’s Market to insure the best ingredients. The atmosphere is old school and the locals love it. Outdoor seating in the summer. Trivia on Mondays. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Ruben

This was a VERY Pleasant Social and Eating Experience! Kim greeted us as we walked in and made us feel welcome 🤗 as he did for ALL of his other Guests! The place was packed with Happy Patrons Enjoying Food that was prepared to Perfection! I met an Old High School Football 🏈 Buddy that I haven’t S👁️👁️N in thirty (30) years! Harold Greenleaf it was Sooo Good to S👁️👁️ 🫵! My Brother Marty and I ordered the Italian Steak Sandwich 🥪, Rueben Sandwich, Chips, Onion 🧅 Rings and Jalapeño 🌶️ Cheese 🧀 Poppers! The Food was Delicious the Only Thing Better Than The Food Was the Service provided by the Lady Behind the Bar! This restaurant is family owned neighborhood bar where you feel at home right away. We visit ALL the time and it's always great. We've never had poor or even mediocre service or food. Recently we had a huge party on the patio on a busy Friday night. We had at 20-25 people and our waitress was the best I've ever seen on a big party. Kelsey never made a single mistake and her response time was practically instant for everything including food, drinks, extra sauces and stuff like that. We actually all gave her a round of applause at the end of the party. Although in my experience at coonans that is par for course.... The waitstaff here is the best in Bay City in my opinion. The waitstaff here is always friendly and positive..... You'll always leave full and in a great mood! I can't recommend Coonans enough!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10

Love the atmosphere and food here! First off we were treated very well and promptly by the staff. The food here was delicious. My husband ordered a Jalapeño Burger and I ordered the veggie Quesadilla. We also ordered the Deep fried Dill Pickles as an appetizer. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a great place to eat and socialize!
