Stepping into the Chuck Wagon Restaurant in the LONGHORN HOTEL & CASINO is like hopping into a time machine that whisks you back to the golden era of Vegas and Reno. My experience there was nothing short of a thrilling throwback, complete with the nostalgic vibes that make you yearn for the good old days.
The maestro of this culinary symphony is Shane, who isn’t just the manager but also a dynamo of a server. Watching him is like witnessing a well-choreographed dance; he zips around with an energy that’s almost electric, yet he never misses a beat when it comes to delivering top-notch service to every patron.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show – the food! It’s a delightful surprise for your wallet and your taste buds. The dishes are generously portioned, ensuring you get real bang for your buck. The flavors are rich and satisfying, a true testament to the kitchen’s dedication to quality.
But wait, it gets even better. The Monster Burger Challenge is not for the faint-hearted, and yes, my friend and I conquered it! Imagine this: a whole pound burger with all the fixings plus a mountain of fries, all to be vanquished in 20 minutes or less. Victory tasted sweet (or should I say savory?), not just because of the delicious burger, but also because of the coveted T-shirt and certificate of victory we earned.
The Chuck Wagon isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a community hub where the staff are as warm as the meals served. The camaraderie extends beyond the tables, with diners engaging in friendly banter, making the whole experience feel like a gathering of old friends.
And if you’re in the mood for a little flutter, the casino’s slots are a gambler’s paradise, covering a broad spectrum of preferences with machines that range from penny slots to those for the high rollers.
In a nutshell, the Chuck Wagon Restaurant is a gem that encapsulates the spirit of vintage Vegas, delivering a feast for the senses and a blast from the past. It’s a place where memories are made, burgers are conquered, and every visit feels like coming home. I’m already counting down the days until my next visit!

Monster Burger Challenge
Shane saved the day! Our server Diana was horrible, our food obviously had been sitting under the heat lamp for a period of time, the plate was red hot to the touch and the food was cold. She never even brought my sister a steak knife for her Porterhouse ! I got the steak and lobster and my sister got the porterhouse. Normally the food and service are always great …… tonight was the exception !!!! This is the worst meal we have had since 2021 !!! Our server was lazy, did not check back on us….. another server was kind enough to get us sour cream and refills on our drinks . The busboy was even more attentive to our needs than the server was. When we were finished eating our cold steaks and dried out baked potatoes she came back with an attitude problem and attempted to slap the check on the table without even asking if we wanted dessert…. Which we did !!!! We finally
Got our ice cream and she slapped the bill down and never came back. I have been in the service industry for years and no matter where I have worked this never would have been tolerated. I am so disappointed because this was a night my sister and I were really looking forward to after we both had a rotten week. I will say we will be back but I will refuse to sit in her section ever again. I am trying to be nice writing this because at this moment I am very angry…. Even as I sit here and write this she is straight across drinking a drink in the side station and I can’t get a refill on my drink…….. unacceptable !!!!!

Diana was a fantastic server, I decided to write a review, which I usually don't, but It must have been her first week. Poor thing seemed so nervous. Lol, food was surprised, really good, I say that because I had to admit I am a food critic and I usually don't come to this side of Vegas. Warm friendly atmosphere, I could see myself eating her again

Usually I used to to eat there 2 times a week, I used to be a permanent client, belong to the neighborhood. Everything is good there. Except once a new lady charged me $40 dlls for 2 special breakfast. Wow... since that day I dont go there. They only gave me credit for 2 coffees. Becareful, they think we all drunk or under anything... I not even go to play.
