This was our first time there, and it was a great experience. The food was pretty good, and the service was excellent. It is a tad outdated inside, but it is very, very clean. Tl;dr Ordered a full breakfast and expected to pay 17$+tip Was charged 32$+tip. Each item was marked individually, raising the price well over what it should have been. The waitress had that haggard, I haven't earned enough look about her and I think she baked her tip into the price thinking I wouldn't tip her because I'm a young single man eating alone. I still gave her a 7$ tip and she looked at me unexpectedly like she read me wrong and regretted her decision. The food was tasty, sausage deliciously fat, kielbasa well cooked if a bit dry. The eggs were okay. Asked for black pepper to be used while cooking. No pepper, given the excuse its white pepper. I didnt taste any pepper. Horrible lie. Just be honest, say they forgot. Or they dont use seasoning in the egg pan. But dont lie. Now I can't trust the cook, the waitress, nor the business except to swindle n underperform. Not to mention the fact I went in for breakfast potatoes and they didn't have any. A staple breakfast item. Not available. Gee willickers! Charge people appropriately and dont lie about using pepper on eggs. That's beyond stupid. Makes me question the cook's character and willingness to do things properly. I eat breakfast twice at this establishment,same waitress,eat the same-eggs-breakfest potatoes n bacon. Waitress was miserable,bacon greasy as hell,no taste to the potatoes. Carpet dirty,walls could uz a fresh paint!! I won't b back!! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Not what I expected at all. Waited for a table. Which is fine but when we sat at our table it was still dirty had to ask for the waitress to clean it. Waited over 15 minutes to get our drinks. Waited over 45 minutes for our breakfast to be made.Not fast service. Didn’t even eat because I was so fed up with the kids trying to keep them from loosing their patience even more. Won’t be back.. Food was ice cold. I ordered an omelet with cheese, tomatoes, onions, & mushrooms. I didn't get tomatoes. I got peppers instead. I normally take pictures but I was too hungry. But I will tell you that this place makes omelettes to order. I opted for the Italian bread toast and it comes buttered. The home fries are good and are cooked with onions. The waitress was perfect and didn't rush our breakfast. I honestly can't wait to go back. Chuck's is a taste of small town America ! I've never been to Chuck's were I haven't seen a familiar face. Excellent service fantastic food and Chuck who is a celebrity in his own way ! Chuck’s Main Street Diner in Luzerne, Pennsylvania is an unassuming yet delightful, old-school breakfast and lunch diner that will put you at ease as soon as you walk in. We arrived shortly before 11:30 a.m. on a Thursday morning and were instructed to sit at one of a few open tables. Our server – who was very friendly and attentive throughout our meal – immediately to our drink orders. We gave her our meal selections when she returned, and within 15 minutes, dishes were placed on the table. The Meat Lovers Omelette was very pleasing, with bacon, sausage, ham, and cheese. The eggs housing the mixture were light and fluffy, and the accompanying home fries were perfectly prepared. One can have a choice of toast, so I opted for the Italian bread, which turned out to be a smart choice. It was perfectly toasted without any burn marks on it. The Veggie Omellete was also delicious, with diced tomatoes, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. The rest of the dish was similar to the dish I described above, with the exception of the toast being wheat. What was truly remarkable about Chuck’s is the friendly atmosphere and great service. Again, our server was lovely and amiable, and you couldn’t help but feel extremely comfortable, like walking into a family member’s kitchen. A game show was broadcasting over the dining bar, which had about 9 or 10 stools. There are approximately six booths and a smattering of tables. There is a small-town, patriotic atmosphere. The walls are adorned with pictures of the town, and American flags and variations thereof are displayed throughout. Moreover, the place was also extremely clean. Fancy dining establishments and family restaurants are absolutely fine with me, but I would take a place like Chuck’s Main Street Diner any day, where the smiles are genuine and sincere, and the workers take pride in what they do. Walked in place very clean, staff friendly, my server very attentive. Got the cheese steak omelette was very packed and loaded with meat cheese onions and peppers. My two pancakes nice and fluffy, very tasty, you get more then enough syrup and butter for all of you who are like myself and drown your cakes. My potatoes soft on the inside crispy on the outside. And I just loved my side of kielbasa. Recommend all to check this place out.
