Don’t go here for dinner, our experience was terrible. They will forget to bring you side dishes so you have to ask many times. They didn’t explain that you will actually get half of a whole chicken. We were told that it’s only a small piece of chicken meat. You will wait a long time to be served and you will be seated extremely close to other people. Ordered prawn croquettes...by the look of them they are handmade... promising 😀 Sadly I was very disappointed...the filling was extremely bland, the roux was not cooked through when made (i.e. the flour wasn't cooked..resulting in a unpleasant texture) ...I'm wondering where the prawns were...there may have been but a few tiny morsels. At 12€50 I told wait staff to let the Chef know. I was given a 50% discount. I think to have struck the dish from the bill entirely would have been more appropriate. Maybe it is my fault because I came just before 4pm, but at the beginning I asked if I can eat there. The young man was nice and he said that yes, I can. However then came the lady and she put a pressure on me to make an order because the kitchen would be closed soon, but I have just found the English version od menu in my phone, so I did not have enough time to process it. My dish was veal croquettes...It was nice, but somehow I did not feel any meat there. Also, the lemonade was chemical - I got a glass of water and the tube of the "lemonade" concentrate. So... Big establishment on the edge of the center of Abcoude. Lots of tables, but still, even on a Wednesday evening almost all tables are reserved. So better make that reservation. Service is friendly, mostly highschool - it's cute that some can't prenounce the name of the wine we're drinking. Proper wine, tender meat, but served with a minimum of decorum, and pricy (around 26 euro for entrecote or tournedos).
