It’s so enjoyable hopping off a train from Philly and walking across the street towards a quaint town and welcoming restaurant. Their food is consistently fresh, seasonal and delicious. Excellent, friendly, down to earth servers and staff. Such a good vibe, even in the middle of the day. Perfect place to meet friends in the suburbs if coming from center city. Great atmosphere, fireplace in the winter and outdoor seating in summer. Highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I have been here about a dozen times over the past few years. The food is consistently good, but there are times it misses. The last time I was there, I ordered the shrimp cocktail. Instead of coming in a glass filled with ice and garnished, I got 4 pieces of shrimp on a plate with cocktail sauce also on the plate. Although that really isn't a complaint about the food quality, it just seemed strange to have my appetizer served that way and it did not look appealing. The nachos and wings are quite good, but I don't care for the hummus. I can't speak to the entrees much because I typically order a salad and/or an appetizer. All in all, this is a nice local restaurant, on the pricey side, but it could use some improvements. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Earlier today, my wife dined at the Broad Table Tavern and accidentally left her credit card at the restaurant. We live 2 hours away. It would be a huge inconvenience to drive back to get it, and an even bigger inconvenience to have to cancel the card. We tried calling the Tavern for 5 hours and no one would answer the phone. Luckily, someone else from our party was staying an extra night and offered to physically go talk to someone and help get the card for us. The manager on duty (Joanna Miles) was completely unhelpful and said the only way to get the card back was to email a copy of my wife's ID. She kept repeating the line that it's company policy, but I warned that the policy is insecure and should NOT be followed. The manager was overly rude to our friend, and she refused to consider any other suggestions when we finally did get to talk to her on the phone (we had to call the hotel and convince the desk clerk to walk over). in summary: 1. the insecure "company policy" for emailing an ID should be abolished, and shows no real proof of identity 2. the manager should be reprimanded for terrible customer service, failing to pick up the phone for hours and refusing to work with us at all 3. we will never again visit the Broad Table Tavern, and recommend that you steer clear as well Meal type Lunch Service: 1

The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is second to none. They came by a few times to check on us as we ate, and it just earned them a well-deserved tip. I recommend this spot for breakfast if you're craving good polite customer service. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a lovely experience until I accidentally left my credit card there in the bill folder. We live in another state and had already returned home- but upon realizing I left my card, I called the tavern for HOURS and no one answered. I called the hotel, and they transferred me, and still NO ONE ANSWERED. I left messages and no one responded. I had a friend who was still there go in person to the tavern and they still refused to talk to us or let my friend help. Instead, they kept insisting that I should email my ID to the tavern and then they could release my card to my friend. Emailing your license is a HUGE security risk. We offered to FaceTime the manager to showing me holding my ID and giving authorization for my friend to bring my card home to me, and they still refused to work with us. So now we are going to have to cancel my card and go through the huge hassle of all that entails when there was a simple and SECURE solution. Joanna Miles was the manager on duty and was incredibly unpleasant and uncooperative. I understand if she didn't have the the authority to overrule this dangerous company policy, but she could have handled the situation much better- beginning by answering my call!!! The food was good. My favorite actually was the soup. I believe it was Mediterranean shrimp, but whatever it was called it was delicious. My steak was a little over medium, but was tasty with the sauce on top. The roasted potatoes and vegetable medley of carrots & broccoli were cooked perfectly. My drink was well made. I had an Old Fashioned. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice. There were several people at the bar and a few tables with two to three people at each table during the time I was dining. This was my first time eating at this restaurant, but the other patrons seemed to be regulars or were familar with the staff. Everyone was friendly. The servers seemed knowledgeable about the specials and how items were prepared. Kristen was my server and she was very attentive. Overall very nice 8pm dinner for me. The food is fine if really hungry- but don’t be deceived by the professional photos on this site. We were excited to try the menu, but the “heirloom tomato salad” has only a half of a single heirloom tomato in it; the Thai mango chicken could have come out of a microwave dinner box. Best to stick with the beer, which is, by contrast, excellent here. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
We reserved the Ingleneuk Room for a casual "baby sprinkle" brunch for 13 adults and 2 children. The atmosphere was very sophisticated and welcoming. The service was impeccable. Our server, Rico, went above and beyond to make our private party comfortable and to make me and my SO feel special. SO & I have been here before, and the food did not disappoint once again. Delicioussss and not too costly! 10/10 would recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Quaint, quiet, quality. This restaurant is in the heart of the Inn of Swarthmore. Fresh, savory, delectably organic, every dish is seemingly composed of the healthiest ingredients for any great meal. I’ve been there three times already. This may be my brunch-go-to on Sunday mornings. You will love it.
