We got this waitress who came to serve us with a predetermined attitude and we requested for someone different. The next lady sent as a replacement was nice to start with but changed after we were halfway the eating. Even before we were done she asked whether we were going to pay separately to which we answered no. A bill was dumped on our table while halfway the meal. Ok so were they pissed because we requested a change? From there we were abandoned and no more asking the “nice” questions they ask to keep one going. No offer for desert and waited long before we could get someone for a beer refill. We finally beckoned some guys who were chilling out- looked like a manager? and asked whether we could get more beer. Finally the new ‘nice’ waitress shows up again with the drinks after a long 10 minutes and an updated bill dumped on the table again. Were we being sent out? Only BJ’s restaurant staff can answer this question. It was such a shoddy service and not worth the trip. Certainly we have no apologies for being born Brown or Black if this makes you feel better. That’s who we are and shall remain so don’t waste time treating us like trash while we are paying for our food to give you a damn job. Shame on BJ’s Restaurant in Mesquite Texas. Chris Jones was the bartender during happy hour and he had a great attitude in regards to recommending the beer choices and food menu. I would highly recommend stopping in with his expertise on different draft beer offered. This is a very peacefully establishment to grab a drink and bite to eat. You feel welcomed with great service. My husband and I wanted a good burger and we decided to go to BJ’s. Our Waiter Chris was very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive to our needs. He was easy to communicate with and made our experience pleasant. The choice of food my husband and I both chose was so good and satisfied our craving. After our meal I spoke with Lynn his Manager who was friendly and approachable. I told him how impressed I was with Chris and he was very thankful for the positive affirmation and asked me to post my review. Thank you!!! My server Chris was excellent! Drinks came out in a timely manner, as well as food. I got the Ribeye with a baked potato and salad, it was on point! Len the manager also came by and was very professional, and it just made the entire experience. Will definitely be back for the spaghetti! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food tasted well. However our waitress was not well at all. She constantly kept running past our table before we could ever ask for help. When we finally got her attention we asked 2 simple questions about our food for clarification. Our waitress snapped at us and talked to us like we were less than or had a hard time comprehending what she was saying. I understand you may be tired but don’t take it out on your guests. Came here tonight for our monthly ladies night out with the coworkers and we were very disappointed. For the restaurant to be so empty, it took surprisedly a while before we received our food. When I received my plate my fries were cold but both my coworkers were hot. Our food came out at the same time. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Sent my plate back. Had to wait longer to get my food back and they still were not freshly cooked. Seemed like they were warmed up. So fries and burger was luke warm. Didn’t want to wait again because I was starving so I just kept it. Waitress finally came back around and we got menu again and ordered dessert. She put the order in. Was gone for a few minutes, then when we finally saw her again she stopped to talk to the other table (it was only us and another couple on that entire left side). She talked to the couple at that table for every bit of 20mins!! Then finally went to get our dessert was gone another few minutes. So we waited well over 30 mins for dessert. Come back like nothing was wrong. No sorry for the wait or anything. She definitely noticed the irritation on our faces as we immediately asked for togo boxes for the dessert. I’ve been here several times and this I have to say was the worse. I would have given the benefit of the doubt if the place was busy. First time coming on a slow night. We were just extremely disappointed so much so that we didn’t even take pictures of our food or pics together as we normally do to celebrate the night. 😔 The food was delicious in-spite of it being cold. I always enjoy BJ’s tonight was no different other than I stopped eating meat and they had a bomb appetizer fried avocado egg rolls with a tasty sauce😋 and the Santa Fe salad was good my husband said the salmon was delicious and he never gives restaurants their props so I know it was good we will be back! More enjoyable than what I expected. Early lunch here was amazing and the dining room is well lit and clean. The staff were quiet and very efficient with our salads and appetizers severed quickly and frequent refills. The steak my husband ordered was perfect and the ribs were good as well. The butter sauce chicken breast was very good and the salads were fresh. Kids enjoyed the pasta dishes but not much alfredo sauce added so it was a bit dry. It was very good and worth the slightly higher price point overall. My first visit to BJ's was a great one. My co-workers and I went for lunch and I only had dessert and it was an awesome dessert. The restrooms were very clean and well kept. The young lady that served our table was very pleasant and courteous. She kept our drinks flowing and made small talk with us. Good service and good food 👍
