This was a great place for a pit stop! We only had the pretzel with beer cheese/mustard, but it was so good! If you're up for a drink, try the blueberry long island iced tea!!! I absolutely LOVE that they allow pets in the patio area! Pet-friendly is always awesome! Had to have a Lobster Roll in Maine, right?! Also enjoyed a lovely Blueberry hard cider with my meal. Oh and get the spicy fried cheese appetizer...so good. My companion had a fish sammie and tried two of the dark beers on offer. Stopped here looking for good food and beer, our waitress didn't want to give us samples of different beers. She said that the bartender would get upset. We paid for the samples which was not a problem, but dang I don't want to order fullsize without knowing I'd enjoy it or not. The food came quickly but was below par for the price. We ordered an appetizer and 4 entrees for all of us, the appetizer came out quickly and the entrees soon after. I wouldn't necessarily recommend. Our waitress was great though! Had a fantastic experience here! The service was great and all of the food tasted awesome! I’d recommend the salmon with chili lime glaze. Only drawback is that it closes early (9 pm). We rented out the upstairs at this location for our wedding after party. What a neat space! It was just redone, and is actually HUGE. There was a lounge type area, an outdoor space, and a huge dance floor. They had a little sign outside with our names on it, which was a nice touch! They let my husband DJ our party, a prior passion of his, and we had such a fun night. They set us up with some late night munchies which were great. The bartenders were SO fun, and even gave my husband and I some complimentary drinks at the end of the night. They let us extend our party from 11am to 1am, which was very last minute- but we were grateful to continue to party there! We 100% would use this space again. We really enjoyed our visit to Bar Harbor Beer Works!!! The selection of local beer is awesome. The Blueberry Ale by Atlantic Brewery is served with fresh blueberries, it tastes fantastic. The blueberry jalapeno wings were very tasty, and were breaded and fried deliciousness! The lobster mac 'n" cheese was beautifully done, creamy, meaty goodness. The meat was fresh and not overcooked, the sauce was cheesy and smooth; gorgeous. We also sampled the blueberry pie, how nice it was finish an exemplary meal with a delectable dessert. The blueberry pie was truly amazing, the crust was crisp, buttery and delicious, the filling was sweet, berry delight. On top of this the service was quick and friendly. I will be happy if I get the chance to come back to Bar Harbor Beer Works!! Not impressed with the food here. The cheese curds were very spicy even when the waiter said there were not that spicy. We had a hard time to eat them. We ordered the mac n cheese with grilled chicken and the lobster mac n cheese and it wasn't good. The mac n cheese tastes like boxed cheese. The flavor was not good. The flavor was so weird. I would think that a place like this would make their own cheese sauce and it will be good. Very dissapointed with the food. The service and the drinks were good though. We have been to BH Beer Works twice and it was ok. The first time we visited we got the Lobster and Spinach Dip with a flight of Maine IPA's. The beer was really good but the Lobster Dip was a little too rich for us to enjoy. The second time we visited, we got the BBQ Rib, Pulled Pork, and Chicken tender plate with fries and onion rings. The ribs were good. We sent fries, onion rings and chicken tenders back because they were fried too hard and were dry. When they came out again, we sent them back because they were over fried again and they adjusted it ticket. The beer is great, the service is great, and the atmosphere is great. The food is not so great.

Visit was over the memorial day weekend. On a bright sunny day everyone wanted to sit outside and thus was a bit of wait. Ambience was nice and staff was courteous. We stopped to get a quick lunch so didn't try many dishes. Got chicken sandwich and vegetarian hummus sandwich. Portion size was great. Side of onion ring felt bit smaller than usual in portion. French fries were generous portion. Everything tasted super delicious. Actually loved the vegetarian hummus sandwich. Recommended for a good quality time ...foods and drink.
