Avanti Pizza & Pasta is my household's local, family but not-so-casual (due to prices) pizza/pasta-joint of choice. To keep costs down, I order out and pickup myself more often nowadays. With this said, the menu offers a lot, and our favorite items include the complexly-flavored pizza Lynnwood Special ("medium size, extra sauce, please!"), the savory & well-portioned pasta Puttanesca, and large salads with tasty, satisfying dressings. Avanti is pricey, but the food is quality-worthy...consistent & yummy. We introduced friends last Summer and now it's their favorite local, pizza/pasta joint, too; they have more money to invest, so eat-in more often. Updates: One new positive, the bank-seating along the long wall was recently reupholstered, which looks and feels great! :-) One new negative: Prices have increased so now we don't order as often and when dining-in I limit myself to one glass of wine. I no longer review the desert menu although it's very good, too. I realize costs and making a profit to live on can be troublesome for sit-down restaurants but, on the other hand, if people aren't purchasing some items on a regular basis, such as deserts, then adjust prices accordingly.
