Excellent establishment, the staff are nice and it's a fun environment. My favorite part is that they still use the old equipment. I really like the vintage feel of the place. I highly recommend going to bowl here.
I’ve been an on and off frequenter of this establishment. Been going all my life and would go every Tuesday in 2018, I still go once in a blue moon with friends. The prices for games are good and the staff is always kind. It is a bit dated and could use a little revamping here and there, but it gets the job done! Since I used to go often I invested in my own shoes making the $1 games a huge bargain. They have good IPA’s on tap, and there is a nice pool table inside the bar section. It can get busy but usually the wait isn’t bad. 5/5 because I haven’t had a bad experience in all my years of going to Danville bowl.
Saturday, I went to Earl Anthony Bowl in Dublin there was a 1.5hr wait then I went to Granada bowl there was a 1hr wait then I called Danville Bowl there was a 35min wait but it was nice to sit in the quiet bar area have a drink, watch football & have some food. The lane conditions were good with proper maintenance (oil application)
I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel I need to share my experience at Danville Bowl. I was really looking forward to a fun evening of bowling, but unfortunately, the condition of the equipment left a lot to be desired.
First off, the bowling shoes were in pretty bad shape. They looked really old and worn out, and to be honest, they didn't seem very clean. I get that they’re rental shoes, but I still expected them to be well-maintained and hygienic.
The bowling balls weren't any better. Most of them had seen better days - they were old, and some even had noticeable cracks and chips. It was hard to find a ball that felt comfortable to play with.
I hope Danville Bowl takes this feedback seriously and considers updating their equipment. Bowling is such a great activity, but the experience is definitely dampened when you're dealing with subpar gear.
