This place is great. The bread is absolutely amazing. The sandwiches are really good and fully customizable. Place is always busy, but the staff is quick and efficient.
They've got so much to try and love! So many different options that all looked really good
I went simple with a Meatball sandwich and it was just lovely. The meatballs were flavorful and spiced perfectly with thyme and whatever other love they put in there. Fantastic bread and sauce!
So many salad and pasta and anti.pasta offerings...and they ALL look good
We came in not too long before closing but the staff did not rush us and they were super helpful answering all my questions and giving menu advice!
Great customer service backed by excellent food. I was greeted warmly, almost as if I were family, and witnessed staff respectfully and patiently help an elderly woman. The lady had a million questions and then bought one cookie or something. I ordered the margherita pizza, the "real deal" Italian and four arancinis. The food was delicious. The next time I'm back in Ocean City I will make a point of returning.
First time coming across this gem. Came in as they were closing, grabbed a slice of cheesecake & cannoli. Both were phenomenal!!! As may girlfriend and I were outside eating our desserts, the man (I’m assuming the owner, I didn’t catch his name)was closing up shop and gave us a loaf of seeded bread, which was also terrific.. What a wonderful gesture. I can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in OC, they’ve gained a customer for life.

This is probably my favorite place in OCNJ... their food is top notch.
What I find most interesting is they don't have a broad selection, but everything they have is 10/10. You can tell they focus their efforts and attention on making everything on their menu perfection.
Their breakfast sandwiches, especially on bagels, are amazing. Also the pepperoni rolls (if you get one before they sell out) and their macaroni salad are so good I think about them all year round until my next vacation to OCNJ.
Only constructive feedback: the online ordering link on their website isn't obvious to find. The web standard is right on the home page but for Bennie's it's behind the menu link. I am guilty of ordering elsewhere a few times when in a hurry because it's not on the home page so I forget they have it.

Mom got the Cubano (not $10.99 but $12.99 "Oh. We just raised our prices yesterday. We have to print new menus.") She said it was really good.
Dad also enjoyed his sausage, onions, and peppers sandwich (not $8.99 but $9.99).
Daughter said her chicken parm sandwich (not $9.99 but $12.99) was dry, and the cheese wasn't melted, though it tasted fine.
"Roast beef sandwich" is only the meat and the roll. $9. Oops, I mean $10. Lettuce? Tomato? Onion? Each is an additional $0.25. So is mayonnaise. Son said it was good though.
Cheesesteak meat & cheese ("I don't know what kind.") wrapped in pizza dough and cooked, kept cold on the counter. Labeled "$11."
"I'll have one of those please."
Hands it to me cold, charges $12.
"Can you please warm this up a little?"
"No, sorry, our kitchen is really busy right now."
Three other people are in the establishment ordering, and I just ordered three hot sandwiches, but this one wouldn't fit in the oven with them, I guess?
So 5 sandwiches to go and abysmal service cost $64.46. Just go somewhere else.

We’ve loved Bennie’s bread for years but it’s gone significantly downhill the last few years. They NEVER get the orders correct. Today same issue and many of us went back in there angered because of incorrect orders. It took another half hour to correct. Plus the cooks don’t even know how to make the stuff on their own menu! Awful. It’s obvious why their other location closed. Get it together with the service be your food is great!
Every single time I’m in OC I have to make a stop at Bennie’s. Usually a couple times if I’m there overnight. They’ve got hot and cold sandwiches, pizzas, breads, cookies, pies, pastries, pastas, meatballs, etc. Their bread is as good as any Philly bakery, and the rest of their food holds its own as well. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The addition of kiosks for ordering this year is great!
